When the Prophet’s (sallallahu alahi wasllam) daughter, Fatima (radhi allahu anha) complained about the hardship of serving the family, grinding corn and blisters on her hand, the Prophet taught his daughter a Dhikr, and said, “It is better for you than a servant.”
This is what he taught her;
Subhan Allah, 33 times,
alHamdulillah, 33 time,
and Allahu Akbar, 34 times
- before going to bed.
See, Saheeh al-Bukharee (vol. 8, book:75, no: 330)
Dhikr gives you strength; such that you can do with Dhikr what you cannot do without it!
Imam Ibnul-Qayyim writes in al-Waabil al-Sayyib (p. 77) under benefit no 61;
“The one who persists in doing that will find strength in his body that will make him independent of the need for a servant.”
Practice Self Care First
Imam Ibn Qadamah said (May Allah Ta Ala have mercy upon him), “Don’t get busy in what fixes the affairs for others before you fix yourself.

Real Success
Shaykh Muḥammad Ibn Ṣāliḥ al-‘Uthaymīn -رحمه الله- Said:
"Success is not attaining something from the dunya, (real) success is to be saved from hellfire and entering Jannah."

Ibn Al-Jawzee said:
“Every time you get a heartfelt feeling to repent, the troops of your desires attack and overcome your intentions. Slaughter the throat of desire with the knife of firm resolve, because so long as desire remains alive, you are never safe from the relapse of an ever-changing heart (from good to evil). Let the tears you shed in the darkness of the night be your intercessors for when you make mistakes.”
[Kitaab Al-Lataa’if Fil-Waa’iz, p. 51]
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen said:
“A lot of people think that punishment is only by way of the apparent things like one’s body wealth or children. And the reality is that the punishment of the sickness of the heart and its corruption is more severe and greater than being punished with the like of those things.”

Abul-‘Aaliyah said:
From the greatest of sins is that a man learns the Qur’aan then sleeps without reading anything from it.
[Az-Zuhd of Imaam Ahmad, 1746]
