Today is now officially my last day of High School. My last exam day, my last day generally, my last everything. It feels like some kind of end of an era, but it doesn't make me feel very happy. I've felt on and off depressed, stressed or tired all week building up to this. The tiredness is probably stemming from my iron deficiency, but the rest is almost definitely all related to me leaving High School behind permanently. Because I still have so many fears. A fear that I won't be able to read as well if I can't read at High School anymore, a fear of being unable to handle College, a lot of miscellaneous fears of the future, etc. There's a lot of stuff just lying in wait to stress me, and I hate it. Nevermind how summer is probably going to be so hot and humid and miserable in other ways. sigh...
Seriously, though. It's supposed to be 30 degrees tomorrow. I head off to school an hour early for my exam, so I have one final hour in which to do some reading. I think I'm gonna try and reread the opening of an old Rick Riordan Presents book I read once: Sal and Gabi Break the Universe by Carlos Hernandez. I surely can't finish a 200-300 page book in one hour, but that's not what matters. If I even read 20 pages and 2-3 chapters, that's fine with me. It'll give me something new to work towards over summer; namely trying to prove i can finish that book by reading at home or something. But first I have to deal with the school for one final day, with heat and possible thunderstorms trailing me.
I'd say wish me luck, but I feel like luck is the least of my concerns. Luck comes after this, when I have to try and kill time over summer and try to find things do, all so I don't become actively depressed. But I will say... hopefully i'm lucky and the thunderstorm comes after my hours at school. Hopefully the heat in the morning is just okay enough so that I can survive it, and thereby cope with my last day of high school. It's stressful enough without this stupid heat wave to add to it. So just...wish me luck, I guess. I really don't know what else to say, but i'm gonna tag a bunch of people:
