imagine revising with your f/o. you both have separate subjects to study for, but that doesn’t stop you from sitting next to each other, sharing earphones/air pods while working. even though you aren’t speaking, it’s comforting that the other person is there, quietly enjoying each other’s company.
bonus:
if one of you is left handed and the other is right handed, holding hands while working
f/o’s hand placed lazily on your thigh
occasionally leaning your head onto f/o’s shoulder and them leaning their head onto yours before resuming work
“this song sucks” “hey! it’s one of my favourites”
don't worry, this isn't teacher!tony x student!reader, this is supportive teacher tony being supportive of his student
- school sucks, i think everyone can agree there
- but for you? it was that much worse
- your friends weren't really talking to you, schoolwork was exhausting, your reflection wasn't really yours anymore
- the back of the class was your solace, it was easier to hide behind the school than be obviously alone at lunch
- no one would notice anyway, so you faded into the background, isolating yourself and doing the bare minimum in class
- at least, you thought no one would notice
- your chemistry teacher, Mr Stark, was all too aware of you
- he watched as you participated less in class, stopped talking to the people around you, and refused to smile even at his chemistry puns
- you were also just barely achieving a passing grade, giving him several reasons to one day ask you to come in early the next morning, a Wednesday
- you had taken to coming in early anyway, it was easier than walking into a class full of people
- so half an hour before you needed to be, you opened the door to your chemistry class to see Mr Stark at his desk
- he smiled at you, and gestured to the chair at the end of his desk
- you took a seat nervously
- he turned to you- "okay, i'm not gonna bullshit you-"
- he'd found that a few curses helped relax students
- "-i've seen you withdrawing yourself, you're not happy. you can't tell me otherwise, i've seen this before."
- you were slightly taken aback at his blunt attitude, but for the first time it felt like maybe, possibly, someone gave a shit
- he leaned forward
- "so, tell me, no crap, what's going on?"
- you'd always liked him, he was funny and was good at simplifying difficult concepts without making people feel dumb for not understanding
- so you found yourself telling him about your lack of friends, appetite and motivation, and he genuinely listened
- he nodded along and let you spill your troubles- you weren't sure why you felt so comfortable with him, maybe it was just that he actually wanted to know what was wrong
- this became a weekly thing; you would get to school early on wednesday, go to his classroom and he'd ask you what was going on, how your week was going, if you were doing okay
- sometimes he'd help you with your work, and slowly your grades started to improve
- even just talking to Mr Stark was helping, as you were no longer holding everything in
- after a few weeks, he ventured the topic of you meeting another student- he'd gotten consent from another student he often talked to, who had a small group of friends, to introduce the two of you to get you further out your shell
- he promised you didn't have to meet if you didn't want to, there was no pressure, but maybe it would be a good idea to get to know this person
- you were cautious, but agreed to come in early the next day to meet this person
- it was with slightly shallowed breathing that you pushed open the door the next morning
- Mr Stark was sitting at his desk with someone tall with brown curly hair tied in a ponytail, black messenger bag by their chair and wearing a dark green jacket
- "ah, yes, come in" Mr Stark waved you over
- "this is MJ, come say hi"
- MJ stuck out their hand, and you shook it
- Mr Stark introduced you, and MJ gave you a slight smile
- "you seem cool. sadly i have to introduce you to two nerds, but don't worry, you can watch crime documentaries with me if you want"
- Mr Stark grinned at you
- "well aren't they a character. now off you go, i'm very busy pretending to be busy"
- that got a laugh from both you and MJ, and Mr Stark shooed you out the room
- MJ led you along the corridor, down the stairs and outside to a bench with two boys deep in discussion
- "these are the nerds i was talking about"
- the boys looked offended
- "first off, ow, second off, hi, i'm Ned" one of the boys stuck out his hand
- you introduced yourself to him
- the second boy also held out his hand
- "hey, i-i'm Peter, nice to meet you"
- MJ sat down on the bench "this is the headcase Mr Stark was telling me about"
- Peter gasped and looked at you, worried
- "MJ what the hell, you can't just say that!"
- you laughed
- "don't worry about it, they aren't entirely wrong"
- Tony was keeping an eye on the four of you from his window
- and was relieved to see you smiling for the first time in a while
this was fun and yes i gave mj they/them pronouns bc i like that headcanon

e/t/n english teachers name
y/tm your team mate
c/tm crush’s team mate
—
For the past few days, our class was having a little friendly competition with each other. Our english teacher put together a sort of class olympics if you will, where we all play school related games for extra credit points.
The class was broken up into 6 groups of 5. We played every team at least once and then two extra games.
It lasts about a week long, and friday was when the top two teams plays a game of jeopardy to see who wins it all.
It was friday. My team was at the top. (c/n)’s team was at the top. We’re both very competitive people.
“Ready to lose (y/n)?”
“Apparently you are. You’re not even stretching.” I joked, stretching out my arms.
“You don’t need to stretch for jeopardy doofus.” He laughed.
“Someone’s gotta hit the button. And they gotta have fast reflexes. I’m just preparing for that. Looks like I’m more ready then you’ll ever be.” I shrugged. I started to walk away but before I met up with my team I looked over my shoulder to see (c/n) subtly stretching his arms out too.
***
“(y/tm) heads or tails?”
“Ooh um, tails.”
“It’s heads. (c/n) pick a category.” (e/t/n) said.
“Let’s go with... U.S. Government for 100”
“Okay then. Branch of government that interprets the meaning of laws.” (e/t/n) said, stating the first question. My team and I thought for a second before I buzzed.
“(y/n)?”
“What is the judicial branch?” My english teacher hesitated to look at the answer just to spice things up.
“That is correct! 100 for team 2.” We cheered and (c/n) leaned across his table to trash talk.
“Whatever. Like he said, you’re team 2. We’re team 1 which means we’re pretty much destined to win.” He shrugged.
“First is the worst, second is the best. Common saying have you heard of it?” I countered. He rolled his eyes and I got to choose the next category.
“World history for 100.”
“Okeydoke. Builders of pyramids and obelisks in North Africa.” I winced as (c/n) buzzed. I knew he knew this one. He’s into that kind of stuff.
“Who are the egyptians?” He said, looking right at me. I flipped him off and he put his hand up to his chest mouthing ‘ouch’.
The he game went on until we were both tied with 1700 points.
“Final question. U.S. History for 500. First republican president of the United States.”
“Shit.” (c/n) and I both said at the same time. We had a sub the day we talked about this so most of us weren’t paying attention to the lesson. Unfortunately we still wouldn’t know the answer as (e/t/n) heard what we said.
“(y/n)! (c/n)! Disqualified for profanity!” Disappointed, we both walked out of the classroom.
“This is you’re fault ya know.” I said.
“What! I didn’t do anything! What do you think I did?” He sounded surprised. And then I remembered why I wasn’t paying attention in that lesson.
(c/n) was distracting me. He had fallen asleep on his desk and I thought it was so damn cute I couldn’t keep my eyes off him. I hesitated and (c/n) noticed.
“(y/n)?”
“It was nothing never mind I got confused.” I started walking faster. I didn’t even know where I was going.
“Wait! You liar you just don’t wanna tell me!” He laughed, catching up to me.
“Really (c/n) it’s nothing, don’t worry about it!” I smiled, trying to play it off. He caught my wrist causing me to stop and put his hands against the lockers, trapping me in.
“We both have excellent memories so we both know that, that day I fell asleep during the lesson. In what way was it my fault?” He grinned.
“Because...”
“Because...?” I looked at him. His eyes were soft, his crooked smile made my legs want to melt, and his hair was just perfectly placed with a few strands hanging in front of his forehead after his hands running through it so many times. And I realized how close he was to me.
“It was because you were distracting me.” I looked down.
“Distracting you?” He started. “By sleeping? c’mon (y/l/n) ya gotta give me more than that. How was I distracting?” I looked up annoyed then looked down again. Then I mumbled.
“BecauseyouwerecuteandIlikeyou.” He chuckled and lifted my chin up with his finger.
“I’m sorry what was that?” I knew he heard it.
“Because you were cute and... I like you.” He smiled.
“You like me?”
“I like you.”
“You like, me?” He said, pointing to his chest.
“Yes I like you now can I stop repeating it? This is already embarrassing enough.” I laughed.
“Babygirl you shouldn’t be embarrassed, I like you too.”
“Really?” I said, unconvinced and crossing my arms.
“Definitely. No doubt.”
“Prove it.”
“Gladly.” Then he did something unexpected. He reached his arms around my waist to pull me closer to him, cupped my cheek with his hand, and moved in to kiss me. The kiss quickly became rough though, as immediately his tongue fought for dominance over mine, and he pushed me harder against the lockers, pulling one of my legs around his waist. I pulled away, gasping for air after the intense kiss but he just moved down to my neck, sucking and biting around till he found my sweet spot, making me moan. He chuckled and pulled away satisfied.
“Do you believe me now?” He whispered into my ear.

Words: 2155 Warnings: School AU --------------- It was nearing the end of the semester, and the year. It was a Friday and your last class of the day was Physics with Mr. Baker, and you just wanted to go home. You and (Y/F/N) walked to his class together, and got seated in your usual place. On the whiteboard in big letters were the words: Final Project. The class buzzed with wonder as they discussed what it might be about. "Settle down class, we have lots of work to do before final exams." Baker walked into the classroom with a coffee mug. Everybody sat in their usual seats and opened their notes. Baker turned on the projector and the smart board displayed the information on this final project. The class immediately started to write everything down, but you decided to read through it first. You and a partner (who I will pick) will be assigned a section from the course to do a final project on. It will be from the list of topics we've covered this semester, and your job is to conduct an experiment with your topic. Then, you will create a minimum two page report (size 12 times new roman) to pass in before the last day of classes before exams. You put together that your partner is undetermined. Just as you were going to see what your friend thought about it, a classmate spoke up. "How are you picking our partner? Please don't do it alphabetically." The dreaded alphabetical partner always had you stuck with that one guy who never did their work. "I'll be drawing names out of a hat, and as a part of my experiment -- unrelated to physics -- I will be splitting the genders as there are a perfect number of both." Baker answered. There were two plastic hats at the front of the desk which he moved next to. "Now, everybody listen for yours and your partners names. Ladies first." He said in the way Effie Trinket (Hunger Games) would have. Names were called out and (Y/F/N) was paired with the smartest guy in the school. You could see the gleam in her eyes as Baker read his name out. "(Y/N)." He read off the slip. "And Dan." You glanced at (Y/F/N) who raised her eyebrows. Dan was one of those people who liked independent study and rarely accepted partnership in projects. He didn't seem all too annoyed at the outcome, most likely because you -- like him -- are an independent worker. Once all of the names were called out, Baker assigned topics for each pair. The groups sat together and discussed their topics. You and Dan received the speed section. "I'll think about ideas tonight, and maybe you could too. We can decide from there." Dan suggested. You ripped the corner of a paper and wrote your number. "Here, just call or text me if you have any ideas." Dan looked surprised at your offer. He mouthed thanks and shoved the paper in his pocket. "I just recommend looking over the section again, and revising the formulas. Just so we don't have to later--" Dan was cut off by the bell. You both silently gathered your stuff and left the class. You headed for your locker and drove home. At about 5:30, you got a call from a number you didn't recognize. You picked up after a few rings to avoid awkward immediate pick up. "Hello?" "Hey (Y/N), it's Dan," That's who it was. "I was wondering if you would like to come over to my house tomorrow to work on the project." "Sure, I have nothing going on tomorrow anyways. Did you come up with any ideas?" You asked. "Yes I did, I'll explain it tomorrow. I have all of the stuff we need for the experiment so don't worry about bringing anything." "When should I come around?" You ask. "Is 12 good?" He asked. "Fine by me." "Great, I'll see you tomorrow. Bye." He hung up. You texted (Y/F/N) about the phone call. She responded almost immediately. 'omg its a date' 'come on (Y/F/N) its for the project.' 'we'll see about that ;)' ~•oOo•~ You arrived at the door to Dan's house. He sent you the address over text, and it wasn't too far of a drive, just a mere 4 minutes. You knocked on the door which was attached to a very nice looking house. A woman in her forties opened the door. "Oh, hello. You must be (Y/N)." You just smiled and easily guessed it was Dan's mother. She called his name and you heard a pair of footsteps come closer. "Hi, come in." He lightly shoved his mother aside (to let you in). It could've been to get her to leave the two of you alone. "Dan, you didn't tell me she was a pretty lady." His mother complimented. So that was why he wanted her gone quickly. "Mum, please." He said in a low voice, though it wasn't low enough for you to not catch. You silently laughed and entered the house. Dan led you to the basement, which was where his room was. He quickly got his stuff and threw it onto the couch. Most parents don't trust two teenagers in a room alone, but you guessed that Dan's mother was the trusting kind. Dan sat back on the couch and relaxed. He motioned for you to sit as well. Dan in his natural environment was very different from what you see at school. "So, I though we should do an experiment with a skateboard. It's really easy to collect data, all we need is a measuring tool and a stopwatch." You never thought of Dan as the skateboarding kind. "Will this require one of us to ride the skateboard?" You ask, slightly worried. "Since our speed will be different due to weight and skill, I'll ride it to keep the results consistent." Dan reassured you. You and Dan discussed on his couch on how to collect the information. You came up with comparing speeds at different angles of inclination. Dan explained how the two of you could take a five minute walk to the skate park to conduct the experiment. It was perfect, since there would be ramps already set up. You drew a table to record your data in advance, just so everything's neat and organized. Dan rolled out his skateboard from the garage and hopped on. You walked while Dan slowly rolled to the park. Thankfully, there was nobody at the skate park. You measured out 10m on the flat, concrete surface and marked it with chalk. Dan skated as far as he could and stopped, waiting for your signal. You have him a thumbs up and he picked up speed to make it a constant one by the time he reached the 10m stretch. You started and stopped the timer as soon as he crossed the chalk lines. You did this a couple more times to get an average time. Then, the two of you moved onto an angled drop and did the same steps. By the time you had enough information, it was already 3pm. It took you two hours to finish the experiment. Dan placed the skateboard on the ground and extended an arm. "Here, hop on." He offered. "What? I can't skateboard." You say, terrified from the fear of falling. "That's why I'm going to teach you." He walked over to you and led you onto the board. Your legs were unstable like a newborn foal. The feeling of having no control of your balance freaked you out. Dan was holding your arms up to support your balance. He then started to move forwards, which the skateboard followed. After a few seconds of fear, the fun kicked in. "There you go, what's so scary about it now?" He asked with a smile. You looked into his eyes. For the first time, you've noticed the rich brown color of it. You couldn't help but smile at how attractive it made him look. He appeared to have noticed the same about yours. After a long four seconds, you snapped out of it. "Sorry, ah, we should continue with our project." You quickly disengaged eye contact and hopped off of the skateboard. "Of course. Why don't you take the skateboard home this time. I'll carry those." He reached for your notes as you stepped back on the board. With a helping hand from Dan, you skateboarded the way home and you were back at 3:30. You and Dan worked on the report portion of the project and you were done before 5:00. It was time for you to go home, as there was no more work to be done. "That was fun. Maybe we should hang out again?" Dan suggested. "Isn't our project done?" You ask. "Yeah, but we can still get together as friends, right?" Dan said in a hopeful tone. "I guess so, just call me when you want to." You say, cheeks getting hotter. You had a feeling he used the word 'friend' very lightly. "I most definitely will." He said with a smirk. "Bye." You said in a slightly too flirty voice. ~•oOo•~ Once again, it was last period class with Baker. Dan was in class, and was the only one there. You set your notes down on your desk and walked up to him. "Hey, did you pass in the project?" You ask him. "I sure did. Baker was quite impressed at the speed we did it in -- no pun intended." He laughed. "That's good." You laugh with him. (Y/F/N) walked into the classroom and spotted you sharing a conversation with Dan. The bell rang a few minutes later, and you sat in your normal seat next to (Y/F/N). It only took one second for (Y/F/N) to ask the long waiting question. "Tell me everything that happened." ~•oOo•~ You were at your locker, gathering your books to take home. A person leaned against the locker next to yours, and you quickly assumed it was the annoying gang of guys that was always running into you after being pushed by their friends. "Can you please stop--" you turn to see Dan "uh, hi." "Do you wanna come over to my house today?" He asked. "Sure, I hope you weren't planning to drive me there, since I took the car to school today." You say while twirling your keys. "Well this may seem weird but I thought the best way would be for you to drive us there. I took the bus today -- ran out of gas -- so it seems more efficient for you to drive us both instead of me taking the bus and you getting there earlier --" Dan rambled on until you cut him off. "Keep talking and the bus will get there before you finish. I can definitely drive you." You say with a laugh. Dan's room hadn't changed since you were last there, which made sense as it was only two days ago. His mum greeted you again. "What project are you working on this time?" She asked, knowing you were done with the speed one. "She's just here to hang out mum." Dan rushed you to the basement doors before she could say something embarrassing. You relaxed on the couch. "How come you wanted me over so quickly after our project?" "You know how I said you could come back, just to hang out like friends?" He asked, gazing deep into your eyes. "Y-yes." You stutter. "Well, I want us to be maybe... more than just, uh, friends." "What?" You say in a high voice. "I've, uh, liked you for some time now, and when we got out together for the project, I knew it was my chance to actually talk to you. We were just having so much fun the other day that I didn't want to make it suddenly awkward. You don't have to like me back, but I just thought I should let you know that I really like you, more than a friend." Dan's cheeks were getting rosy from the embarrassment. "Is now a good time to mention that I might like you as well?" You say with a cheeky smile. You heard a new voice from the stairs. "Aw, you two would be so adorable together." Dan's face turned red. "Mum!" Mrs. Howell laughed. And you just laughed along with her.
