Killer frost

So I’m a psychology student and for my independent study unit for the class in high school I have to do some sort of topic relating to it. I chose to do the fight or flight response and I find it so interesting that Caitlin Snow from the flash uses both. Her body uses both fight and flight in any scenario she is scared or angry. So for either of those emotions her amygdala activates sending her true self (Caitlin Snow) into a flight response, and her alter ego (Killer Frost) into the fight response where she comes out. Now isn’t that interesting? Usually the mind only ever does one or the other, and at the odd moment the freeze response, but isn’t she interesting?

A raffia broom is shown in the picture. It is more popularly known in the Philippines as “walis tingting.” In order for it to become useful, a lot of strips of hardened raffia leaves must be bundled up together. Just a single or a few is not enough. If I were to relate this to anything discussed in our lectures, I’ll relate it to one of the schools of thought, the Gestalt School. In Gestalt, Psychology is the study of behavior of an organism as a whole. In other words, the whole thing is more important than the parts that make up the whole.
