Rosemary’s eyes widen as she looks down to her lap. She hadn’t really been paying much attention while she painted, so her white dress ended up stained by the pink water colors. ❝Oh gosh—❞

“Jealous? Hardly.” Andreas rolled his eyes and leveled a look of faint irritation at the young woman. The bodies were an absolute mess, throats ravaged, blood everywhere. He’d seen it before, mostly in young vampires who don’t had no sense of self-control, but this girl didn’t seem young at all. Just uninhibited.
“Did no one teach you restraint? Scenes like this are how we get a stake through the heart.”
The town had been awfully quiet lately. With eyes at all parts of town, Moriarty was well-aware of that. There had not been a whole lot of unexplained deaths, not a lot of whispers about vampires and other creatures of the night. The world had become boring. He had prefered it that way for now though, allowed him to just stroll around and stare at the stars for a while. He had seen centuries of chaos and knew that more would follow, so a few days of silence and rest would surely not harm him.
Unfortunately for him, his peaceful night was soon to be disturbed when he heard loud shouts rather close to where he was. Curiosity would always be a weakness of him, so he was quick to make his way over there. He started smirking as he stared at the scene that played in front of him. “You do realise people will have you killed if they see what you are doing, right? You could have at least made sure the guy would not scream so to not give away your position.”

Contentment. Satisfaction. Pleasure.
Such comprised the entirety of Alfred’s world right now. With a single-minded devotion, he pulled the ambrosial nectar into himself, deeper and deeper, to each and every corner and every crevice of his being. Oh this was an unending happiness! It did not diminish nor did it grow level, indeed, it only grew, heightened with each and every passing moment! Greedy, he pulled harder at it, unable to resist the call of this siren.
But then, Alfred noticed that it did not quite fill his mouth entirely, and with a alarm, he realized that it began to run short. He pulled harder, and only too quickly, the warmth trailed off and ceased all together. It was empty. And with it, the happiness had fled, leaving a hollowness within.
Gently, reluctantly he pulled away, opening his eyes and he froze.
Sudden disgust flooded his senses, as Alfred quickly dropped the woman to the ground and staggered back in horror.
He had killed her.
And not only that, he had defiled her.
Alfred could only stare in complete disbelief, shock numbing him entirely to anything and everything, rendering him devoid of feeling. God knew how long he stood there in the icy winds, the cold snow and ice swirling around the stunned predator and his unexpected prey. He kept searching the corpse for breathing, for a twitch, for a shutter, for anything which could spell life, praying for a miracle.
But the minutes passed and none came.
He slowly, tentatively reached out, but swiftly pulled his hand back. He had no right to so much as lay a finger on her after the horrific thing he had just done. He could still feel her blood running warm in his veins, the only legacy this stranger had left behind.
The last thing he remembered was lying in the snow, the icy mass quickly draining him of all warmth, and a dark crimson staining the pure white. The last he had felt feel was sharp pain flooding his senses, something tearing into him ── no not someone ── Sarah ripping away at him. Then, he had been lying in the snow, the icy mass had been quickly draining him of warmth, and a dark crimson stained the pure white.
And then ──
And then . . .
He had become the very monster he once hunted.
The words came out rough and horse, his voice turned raw by the icy air and choked by anguish.
❝ Sarah ── Sarashka, why didn’t you let me die? ❞
❝ What is that THING? I didn’t take you to be an Android person Sarah. ❞

She's just sitting down on Alfred's lap witha bright smile on her lips, her arms sliding around his neck. Is she a bit /too close/? Most likely.

“…H-Hello,” he croaks, mouth dry as it twitches into a smile and heart fluttering in his chest. His hands hover at her shoulders, her waist, the slope of her hips pressed dangerously close to his.
Dear Lord, she is too warm and soft and radiant in the lamplight for any man to bear, let alone the one who has loved her since the very first moment he’d glimpsed her smile. Her mere presence is enough to shred every ounce of his self-control at the best of times, but this is the sort of thing that always reduces him entirely to pieces. Sudden, unexpected displays of affection never give him time to steady his resolve, to draw in a deep breath and prepare to lose himself - mind and body - in her presence.
“Um, Sarah,” he murmurs, peering over her shoulder to check they are indeed quite alone, before allowing his hands to rest upon her waist, sheathed in soft cotton beneath his fingers. “I’m - well, not complaining or anything, not a bit, but - I thought you wished to get an early start? To avoid the crowds? Unless - you have changed your mind?”
He tries not to sound hopeful, and fails dismally.
“Then, you know. We could just stay here. Together. For a bit.”

❝ You know what I’ve decided Sarah? ❞
Magda turned to look up at her girlfriend, a small but bright smile of LOVE and CONTENTMENT on her face. She reached an arm behind Sarah’s back and settled further into her lap.
❝ I’ve decided that you’re going to be my new pillow from now on. ❞
“Somehow cuddling with you is even better than I expected it to be…”

“...Is - is it really?”
His voice was muffled by the mass of soft curls beneath his lips, the scent of fresh cotton and soap and Sarah filling his head until he felt almost giddy from it. He couldn’t seem to stop smiling - his mouth practically ached from it - but his heart sputtered in his chest with the enormity, the honour, the significance of this moment.
Sarah, nestled in his arms. Sarah, warm and real and safe at last. Sarah, allowing him to display his affections in some small, tender way as this. He might have cried from sheer relief and joy, if he hadn’t known the tears would dampen her hair.
“And you’re sure you’re warm enough?” he whispered against her hair, adjusting the edges of the coverlet he had insisted on wrapping her in, after first draping it by the fireplace to soak up the heat. “I can fetch another blanket, if you like. There’s a spare one under the Professor’s bed, I saw it the other day.” His hand sought hers beneath the blanket, touching the glassy porcelain skin of her palm with one finger. “Oh Sarah, your hands are still cold...”
