i’m really awful at putting my thoughts together in a way that works, but logainne genuinely has not left my mind and i need to talk about her more
so, here are just some things i think about a lot that are about logainne:
the lyric changes in the OBC of spelling bee for woe is me.. especially the “im not as special as you supposed, i have lips.. and a nose!” and the “i feel the weight of the world on my underdeveloped shoulders!”
the music getting faster in woe is me - reprise to represent her panic when she looks back at her fathers and see their reaction to her slipping up on “vug”
“god hates losers” and the fact that that most definitely left her with some sort of religious trauma (or something of the sort) and the permanent idea that she will never be loved by god until she wins consistently
all the lines from marcy and logainne that are complete opposites and how they yearn to be in the others position (logainne wants to win but always loses, marcy wants to lose but always wins)
the fact that she loses the one time she doesn’t listen to her fathers, and the fact she now thinks her fathers hate her because they hate losers
^ as well as how she hates losers, so she hates herself, or she feels she has to because of how much she “hates” losers
the entire “disable the foot” thing, specifically carl-dad making her choose between being loved by them + winning OR going with what she thinks is right (not making barfée’s technique stop working momentarily)
how she’s head of the GSA at her school and constantly stand up for her fathers to the people mocking them at her school for being gay, all while her fathers are actively being awful to her and telling her that they and god will hate her if she loses
