I finally watched Maybe Happy Ending tonight and gave live commentary to my awesome buddy pal (now there’s only thirty-five musicals on my list!!) and I’m currently listening to The Way That It Has to Be on repeat because I really like it. The beat has the gears in my brain turning trying to decipher the instruments. During the kind of staccato sequence in the back of it, I can tell there’s a bassoon somewhere in there, but I’m pretty sure there’s another instrument layered on the bassoon, however I cannot figure it out for the life of me :,)
