>try reading it and can't make heads or tails of the data analysis, charts, graphs, or statistical methods

>feel bad and have to ask boss for help

>boss reads the paper and also can't make heads or tails of the data analysis, charts, graphs, or statistical methods

>me when I'm not dumb, the paper is just really confusingly written

You aren’t a real science major until someone asks what you majored in then TOTALLY miss the mark on what you actually study, yet you get your hopes up everytime

As a shark biologist, it amuses me that a large chunk of my time is spent deciphering what in the world our past crew members were trying to write on the microcentrifuge tubes where we store the tissue samples we take from our tagged sharks in the field...I’m very good at it, but still. Whether you’re a professional scientist, participate in citizen science, etc., if you ever partake in any field work, PLEASE, for the love of all that is holy, do your absolute best to take legible notes!! Because someone, somewhere in the future will inevitably be tasked with translating said notes back in the lab! Thank you for coming to my TED talk✌🏼💙🦈

Okay, so I’ve done online schooling since about 7th grade. I’m now in the equivalent of 11th grade, doing running start.

My schooling has been christian based, and the difference between the science of christian based teaching and public teaching is ridiculously large. Whereas, through online I was learning about both creationist and evolutionist theories in science. Now, I’m forced to only learn about the evolutionist theory.

It’s stupid as shit.
