Today was a pretty low-stress day! I did a few hours of reading for my creative writing class in one of my college's study rooms, and added my post to the discussion board, PLUS 1 of the 2 required replies.

I also did an hour or so of review for my German test tomorrow and made flashcards in the evening (43 of them! Hopefully I don't do too badly). It doesn't help that I'm still fighting off a sickness.

Like, here—” Killua points to a textbook a few steps away, “—this author suggests soulmates are people who died together in a previous life. They claim souls that enter the afterlife together return to the world permanently linked.”

Gon shudders, squeezing Killua as if trying to meld them together. “I don’t like that. I don’t want to picture you dying in any life.”

An image comes to Killua—Gon laid out limp and lifeless on a white hospital bed, withered away and struggling to breathe—and his blood runs cold.

“No,” Killua chokes out. “Me, neither.”
