15: What did you learn from writing this fic?
Actually, a lot! I’ve really gained a big boost to my confidence regarding my ability to write comedy and still balance it with an engaging plot! I think I’ve learned a lot about how to manage a long project as well. Over the Summer, I started writing X amount of words per day in order to get through commissions. I applied the philosophy to Sexy Singles In Your Area, and I found that writing a little every day was a good way to have me consistently produce without waiting around for inspiration. Because of that, I’ve gotten a lot done in a short amount of time and I’ve managed to avoid burnout (caused normally by putting a lot of pressure on myself). In the past, I always got burned out or bored doing longer fics.
In terms of actual research? I learned a little about the Japanese college system, but I’ve been doing a lot of ass pulls to be quite honest.
