Useless OC Fact of the 2 Days

While I wait for Mark’s premiere, here’s some origin facts for my first two beans

Atom was originally a skelesona idea since I was big in the Undertale fandom and everyone seemed to have skelesonas. His design changed as I started experimenting, and then I decided I’d turn him into a character that represented a part of me. He was my academic side, but also my clumsiness. He still embodies both of those things, but isn’t necessarily a part of me anymore as all my original OCs were

Shade was originally how I imagined myself as an Undertale monster, combining my favourite skelebros with my favourite animal into a skeleton bat, but I liked the idea and made her into my 2nd OC. Like Atom, she originally represented part of me, specifically my creativity and shyness

56: What's one of your character's quirks?Let’s go with an underrated bean, Octavier. I don’t know if this counts as a quirk, but they go out of their way to make sure people know they’re accepted, especially those in the LGBTQ+ communityThey still feels very guilty for who they were in their mortal life; part of an anti-LGBTQ+ gang to hide the fact they were a closeted gay and genderfluid individual

59: What is your least favourite thing about your character?Let’s go with Atom for this one because he’s the easiest for this question. I hate the fact he will go out of his way to bully Mortem and it pains me to keep him that way, but not all of my beans can be wholesome like I want. Mortem was a bad guy when he was first made and now he’s the sweetest bean. Zeal hated Api, but now he’s conflicted. Atom hating Mortem is important, but so painful to me and him

Here's a shortened backstory

Andrew was a well loved young adult in a small town where everyone knew each other. He loved sports as well as science and balanced the two perfectly. He even helped out at his old college after leaving because it gave him an excuse to keep experimenting, but he was also extremely clumsy, and one day whilst gathering chemical for a class he was helping in, he knocked over a few chemicals. The reaction caused a small explosion, small enough to be contained but bad enough to severely injure Andrew. From that point on, he was banned from chemistry for his own safety and instead pursued biology, where he'd hike up the local mountain to a small clearing and observe nature. He unfortunately decided to walk further one fateful day, lost his balance and fell onto a spiked fence below. Trapped in limbo, Andrew retained his physical image and as his body decayed, so did he until he was a skeleton

He changed his name to Atom, his old nickname, and gradually build his lab just outside of the town so he could conduct his own research, which currently is exploring inter-universal travel

Quick Summary of my OCs

I thought this was a good way to introduce my children to anyone who’s new or hasn’t really seen me post about them since I don’t often, but I want to dedicate more time to them in the new year I also have an archive blog for OC stuff @sciensanity

Atom: Skeleton ghost. Died at the age of 19. Science nerd Shade: Skeleton bat. Created in a lab accident. Shy, creative bean Mortem: Being of depression. Created in 1349 and spent 666 years trapped in the void. Not liked by many others Summer: Humanoid cat from an alternate universe. Trapped in this universe. Pure, wholesome and positive Time: Human from an alternate universe. Exposed to time and space itself and slowly dying. Literally can’t smile and voice is monotone but still tries to be cheerful Snap: Humanoid crocodile from an alternate universe. Borderline sociopath with a joy for killing. Will protect Mortem with his life although it probably won’t be his life that’s being given up here... Zeal: Sentient computer virus. Mischievous bean. Universe he came from was erased Api: Sentient Antivirus Protection Interface. Software that Zeal corrupted and accidentally brought to life. Wants to be friends with everyone Icul: My dark side. Partly who I wish I was and partly the opposite of who I am. Speaks in reverse, but has tried to learn how to talk properly (Erac I taht ton) Absence: Smoke demon. Blind in his right eye and mouth is sewn shut. Deal making demon who suffers from guilt and tries to find loopholes so people don’t sell their souls

I can’t tell if 2E the beach one is male clothes or female clothes but I mean Atom is a skeleton so if you would be able to then that’s my suggestion! 💚

if i lose a finger i might get to take a couple of days off. so either way sad snoot booping sounds like a win-win situation to me. i'm gonna boop mortem's snoot, i'm gonna boop your snoot, i'm gonna boop (click?) api's snoot, i'm gonna boop all the snoots. (if you don't mind me asking: how do all your ocs react to snoot booping?)

You boop Atoms nose? The gap in his skull where a nose would have been. He stares at you, slightly in shock, the slowly raises his hand to his skull and holds it over his nose hole because who even boops a ghost?

You boop Shade nose hole. She giggles uncontrollable and blushes furiously, because yes skeletons can blush, and wants to boop your nose too, but she struggles because 1) she’s small and 2) her wings aren’t the best for booping, but you bend down and let her boop you with her wing tip anyway

You boop Mortem. He blushes a lot and hides his face behind his hands, unsure of how to feel about this act of kindness

You boop Summer. She giggles and boops you back with her soft toe beans. You can see how her eyes have lit up and her smile has spread across her face

You boop Time. He immediately boops you back and although he looks unhappy, you can see happiness in his eye as the swirling galaxy of his iris sparkles

You head over to the computer where Zeal and Api are hovering and watching. You click both of their noses. Api flaps his hands and somersaults whilst Zeal goes cross-eyed to stare at his nose as he blinks. He’s not really sure what just happened, but now you’ve gone and done it because Api chases Zeal trying to boop him

You want to boop Snap, but he’s locked up in his padded cell and the others refuse to open it. Mortem, however, convinces his best friend to come to the small hatch so you can reach his snout, and very firmly tells Snap to BE NICE. You warily boop Snap. He leans down so he can look through the hatch at you and winks (or did he blink? Because he only has one eye?) before heading over to his bed and lying back down

BONUS because she is technically on OC after all: You boop Icul. She calls you a “pathetic and childish imbecile” and rolls her eyes at you, but you can see the slightest hint of a smile that suggests she appreciated the gesture, even if she hated it

DOUBLE BONUS: You boop my snoot. I smile like an idiot and look away from you, hiding the bottom half of my face inside my PMA hoodie before looking back at you, hugging you and booping you

luci, my beautiful december child, how is life treating you on this averagely average tuesday? i heard something about ocs??? could you be bothered to share some more information? maybe just some tidbits about the setting your ocs exist in? a few personality profiles? maybe an art link or two? I don’t have one of those online books but I’m going to make one on notebook.ai because I’ve thought about it before but honestly forgot.

So… my children. They all live in a fairly normal environment actually. They just all live in a science lab that has been added to as more people joined the group, but a few of them are from other universes, a few were created and only the first of the group was actually a normal human. So, here’s a bit of info on them I guess and I’ll try and link to any images I can find right now

Api[Basically looks like Zeal but his hair goes in the opposite direction and his eyes are different. His right eye is yellow with a blue pupil and left eye is green with a red pupil.
