4. Are there any other fic writers you admire? If so, who and why?
SO MANY!
I’ll just list… like… five? I originally put three but then I discovered that it is. Not Possible. I’ll rec one work from each too :D (this list is non-exhaustive… there are a lot more other writers I really look up to, and picking just a few was Death. but these are the writers I will, without fail, pick up and throw their fics at to whoever is just entering the fandom.
aritzen: Rits has this really amazing way of crafting a story and subtly pulling you in, without you realising that you’ve been pulled in?! Her writing comes off as aloof as first, but she builds everything really methodically, and before you know it she’s constructed a whole story around you, brick by brick. I’d recommend Midnight Railway, which is my favourite from her. I think I’ve reread it 6 times or more at this point?
carafin: I think Fin is one of the HQ fandom staple writers, almost everyone has probably read her fics at least once?! She writes gen really really really well, and her other!! fics!!! it’s like she’s weaving magic with her words and the way she writes interactions!!! all her characters have voices of their own, and every single one of her fics, whether AU or canonverse, are all so real and vibrant to me *-* when my friend first got into HQ, I threw Fin’s fics at her first before anybody else’s orz. Have her gen!Karasuno fic - Sunburst.
Tsucchi: how could I not mention Mel when they’re the one who singlehandedly dragged me into Ennotana and Asadai/suga hell? :D Mel does this thing where their characters’ voices are all so clear and… audible, and they have this really good handle on repetition and parallels, which I’m an absolute sucker for - their Asadai, his ace, really displays their skill at drawing parallel references. And not to mention how much care they put into every character, every chapter and every fic, to bring out the mood and atmosphere and the nitty-gritty of the universe they’re writing about.
themorninglark: another HQ fandom staple writer! Lark’s writing has never failed to take my breath away. From her long fics to her short fics, I can say with certainty that I’ve stayed up in bed reading all her works because I couldn’t put my phone down - not when I wanted to know what other magic she still had in store for me. She says a lot in very little words, and I think that’s the most beautiful of all - that in the span of less than a thousand words, I can visualise everything so clearly and feel feelings so deep.
I’d recommend caesura, which is just 633 words long but portrays the Miya brothers so beautifully, ohh my heart.
clandestine7: Maya!!!!! probably one of the first writers that ever made me go “this, this writer is my favourite writer now”. she doesn’t write for HQ but her writing was pretty much what sealed the deal for one of my OTPs in DGM. I can’t quite put my finger on what I love about her writing, but it’s equal parts characterisation and world building and just… how she brings emotions across… it’s like I’m there, witnessing her characters interact, feeling what they feel, watching the world around them as though I’m not just reading words on a screen.
If you’re into DGM, Staples of Vocabulary is one of my all-time favourite fics, regardless of fandom. (it’s DGM-canonverse though, so… u_u)
16. Do you have structured ideas of how your story is supposed to go, or make it up as you write?
Nowadays I’ve been trying to keep my fics - especially the plot-heavy ones - organised, so most of the time I do have an idea of what’s going to happen - I know what my endgame is, per se, and I know the major events that will lead up to the endgame. But the ‘major events’ are often … not enough so I almost always end up making up new things as I go anyway.
But I’ve kind of realised that I don’t really work well with structuring my fics beforehand, because apparently it gives me extreme writing inertia, like: “I’ve written it all now, no more writing for me!” when actually … all I’ve done is write down my plot points and explaining to myself how I got from A to B… orz
Of course, there are the odd fics like snippets and short oneshots where I literally go, “Oh, I wanna write this scene” and *snaps fingers* I write it without thinking about anything else. I’d love to have more of those fics, tbh u_u
I should (and would!) try writing like that more, except that I know I’ll more often than not write myself into a corner that I don’t know how to get out of.

who hogs the duvet: I would said Yamaguchi, but actually he is so cold at nights that he tangles himself with Tsukki and THEN he wraps them with the duvet. And yet he still has cold feet.
who texts/rings to check how their day is going: While they’re still in Karasuno, Yamaguchi. Once the start different unis, is 50/50.
who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts: Tsukki. Mixtapes, cool t-shirts, toys, games, one cheesy time a poem. Yamaguchi just gives him dinousar related rhings and strawberry shortcakes.
who gets up first in the morning: Tsukki, but he’s not happy about it.
who suggests new things in bed: Yamaguchi. Tsukki is happy to comply, tho.
who cries at movies: and doesn’t feel shame to admit it? Yamaguchi. Tsukki sometimes cries to, but he will never admit it.
who gives unprompted massages: Tsukki. And the’re great.
who fusses over the other when they’re sick: Again, Tsukki. He thinks Yamaguchi is going to die everytime he as much as sneeze.
who gets jealous easiest: Again, Tsukki. It’s more of a thing that deep down he fears Yamaguchi is going to realize that anyone that talks to him is better than Tsukki, because he’s a big asshole, and then it’s going to dump him. That’s so no ture, but well. Boys are stupid.
who has the most embarrassing taste in music: Yamaguchi. Let’s not talk about it.
who collects something unusual: Yamaguchi. You would think that it would be Tsukki with his dino thing, but I bet you didn’t know Yamaguchi collects back scratchers.
who takes the longest to get ready: Tsukki. The “tall dark and grumpy” mood is not easy to accomplish.
who is the most tidy and organised: Tsukki. Yamaguchi leaves his shit EVERYWHERE. Tsukki ends up cleaning like a neurotic middle aged mother everytime they come home.
who gets most excited about the holidays: Yamaguchi. The months to him are Shogatsu, Valentine’s Day, White Day, April’s Fools, Children’s Day, Who-Cares, Nothing-Happens, Tanabata, Almost-Halloween, Halloween, Pre-Christmas and Christmas. Tsukki once made him a calendar with this names in it (see? he’s great at gifst).
who is the big spoon/little spoon: 50/50.
who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports: As we can see in canon, Yamaguchi would be this one, but Tsukki is getting there.
who starts the most arguments: None of them likes confrontation (as we know), but when an argument arise... oh, boy. Let’s say that in their third year Yachi, Hinata AND Kageyama made them swear to never again throw them in the middle of their love quarrels.
who suggests that they buy a pet: Tsukki. He wants a baby lizard.
what couple traditions they have: Once a month they go see a movie chosen at random. They save their change in a piggybank for their trip to Disneyland. Once a month they cook something new together. And, most important, every Thursday is date night.
what tv shows they watch together: Kuroko No Basuke... xD
what other couple they hang out with: Yachi and Shimizu. SOMETIMES, if the stars align, Hinata and Kageyama, but they’re too loud.
how they spend time together as a couple: Beside the activities cited above, sometimes they just like to lie in the couch, cuddling, Tsukki listening to music while Yamaguchi reads a magazine.
who made the first move: Yamaguchi. Tsukki has no courage for this things.
who brings flowers home: Yamaguchi, mostly because he knos it annoys the shit out of Tsukki.
who is the best cook: Tsukki, but since they started cooking together Yamaguchi got a lot better (but, then again, everything he made used to end in a horrible coal thing).

Oikawa is amazing and inspiring. He is a character who works hard, stands by his beliefs, and seems to genuinely care for his friends. He’s a good kid!
