I'm not really a Scott x Rogue shipper, but they are cute together in some scenes.

Do you have any favorite X-Men ships that don’t involve Gambit?

(We love gambit but I just like being a contrarian)

I think the main one that I’ve really attached myself to is Evo Scogue. I can’t remember how much I’ve talked about them here, but I really love them a lot. You just can’t give two characters a reoccurring motif (angel/savior motif) and expect me not to aggressively point at the screen and go, “them. I like them.”

There are also other dynamics that I’m not too invested into, but I still think are very cute. These are Jean/Ororo (mainly ‘97), Rogue/Ororo (mainly TAS), Kurt/Wanda, and Kitty/Illyana. A friend is also slowly but surely introducing me to the idea of Bobby/Scott. I also go back and forth with Scott/Emma, because they do have some cute moments. And then Jean/Scott is in that canon relationship area of, “I don’t actively ship them but they are definitely in love.”

I think that covers them all. The X-Men are very funny, because their relationship drama is so messy that any and every ship could be canon all at once. Also, on the topic of Gambit ships, I’m actually going to be very honest… I think all of them fall under the, “I’m not too invested in their dynamic but I still think it’s cute” category. Either that, or the, “I really like this dynamic, but I imagine it as something other than romantic” category. I guess that’s what happens with my favorite characters. They get hit with the ace-ification beam, bahaha.

And remember, I don’t mind when people tag my art as ships even if I don’t ship it.

After Mission Pep Talk

I like to imagine that the first few missions did not go that well for Rogue in term of getting used to new relationship dynamic with the X-Men. Objective indeed accomplished just not in the way team planned. The concept of working together still quite foreign to her having been isolated for so long, whether at school or during mission.

Horny headcanon: Before gaining conscious control over her power, Rogue had a talk w/ Jean Grey about how lonely & isolated she felt, not being able to touch anyone (especially her new lover, Gambit).

Jean suggested that she could help, using some techniques she'd practiced w/ Cyclops.

Of course, Rogue expected Jean wanted to telepathically facilitate a psychic rendezvous.

😏 And sure, that would do in a pinch, but first, the ladies and their men would all explore together, new, exciting uses for toys...and lube & latex. 😌

(it's wild how many characters I headcanon as being bi, LOL; also, I get that the pairings are rare, but... is there a widely accepted ship name for Jean Grey x Rogue , or for Jean Grey x Gambit ?)
