Summer Placement Day 40 08/08/14

I finished the competition basket today and took some photographs to edit and put into our advertisement. We've still got a few bits and pieces to get for the runner up prizes but we're almost there! Most of our details are sorted out and have been finalised but again theres a few loose ends that we need to fix. I did my talk at the Training day at the HIE office in town on social media to all of those who missed the official training days. It went okay but as I wasn't completely prepared I was a bit nervous. Not feeling so great today so I think it's going to be a relaxing night for me.

Summer Placement Day 39 07/08/14

Didn't have any lunch today so had to nip to TESCO to get some. While I was there I thought I better buy some of the prizes so I ended up standing at the self service for so long scanning the same products over and over again until one of the ladies told me there was an easier and quicker way to do it...bit late but thanks haha I created a social media board which i'll use for pictures etc. but I love it! I just need to file it down and fix it up a bit! I'll hopefully be finishing the frames tonight, painting on the #supernaturalnrg and then varnishing them once dry!! Tomorrow I have my presentation at scotgrad for the people who missed our training days so I also have to get sorted and ready for that one. OH and my tickets for the Enchanted Forest arrived :D

Summer Placement Day 35 01/08/14

The weathers been really on and off today so I managed to get one more frame primed just before it started raining again! Its alright at the moment so I think ill get the last two primed and ready to be painted. I've spent the majority of my day downloading (again) after effects and trying to work out my intro to the video but I now know what it is I want to have. This weekend i'll probably spend a good bit of my time working on the video as I want to get it almost finished for next week! I still haven't decided on what to do with the backs of each frame but I think I might just go ahead and prime and paint them if I can. Kosta has asked me to be a guest speaker at a training programme for the guys who missed our 2 day trip to fairburn so I've been working out what to say etc. My talk will be on social media and the likes and where it can get you, take your business, spread the word etc. I think i'll mention copyright laws as its a good thing for people to know and outside of the creative industries and law I don't know how much people get told about it. Dinner time!

Summer Placement Day 27 22/07/14

I slept in today so working a bit later tonight. I usually work extra anyways but gotta clock my hours.

I checked over all the scheduled posts on Twitter and added in some new ones and Scheduled some posts on Facebook. I also made sure there was definitely no way to schedule on Instagram (which there’s not).

I sorted out all the Fresher’s Fayre information I could find into my little flip book and put everything in date order.

All the empty cans from the Highland and Moray Food and Drink Festival have been washed and sorted out for ‘unsharpening’.

I’ve been on Facebook on Twitter today a lot and searching for SUPER!NATURAL everywhere! Going to be doing a lot of 'googling' tomorrow I think!

Right now i'm writing my report for ScotGrad because I have a little free time. Tonight I'll probably get some work done for my dissertation and major project research!

Summer Placement Day 22 15/07/14

I'm still not feeling 100% Woke up feeling like i'd slept too much which I had but still! Went into work but I had to take it slow today due to dizziness and headaches etc. I finished the frame drawings today so they can be sent off to be cut out now and then when Ben and Noeli are back from their holidays I can start painting them and stuff :) Also got information on Aberdeen Universities Fresher's Fayre thanks to Kosta :) Last day in the office tomorrow and then i'll be working from home for the next two weeks. Ill still have access to my emails etc but I have alot to get done in these next two weeks so pressure is on :) Oh I almost forgot, my placement is getting extended ;) I'm that good ;D

Summer Placement Day 20 11/07/14

Kosta from ScotGrad came to visit today and interviewed my employers and then me on how the placement is going etc. Then took some pictures and off he went. I finished the 3 frame drawings on MDF to get cut out and see how they go so that's something I'm a bit excited to see happen as it's a main part of our Fresher's plan.

Summer Placement Day 19 10/07/14

Today went past quite quickly. In the morning we had our final kind of chat regarding the freshers fayres! From now on I just need to make sure we get confirmations of a few more and focus on what we have planned and planning some more! Planplanplanplanplanplanplan Me and Noeli headed out to B&Q where we stuck with the stereotypical 'females at hardware store can't even push a trolley'. I then edited the next two football posts. Bit obvious what they're going to be about (world cup thirds and final). So now they're all scheduled and ready to go. Only one left to do and I can't do it until the thirds game. The first post I did expanded the amount of likes, comments, shares and general reach to the SUPER!NATURAL social media sites. Uh huh! Tomorrow, we'll be getting a little visit from ScotGrads own summer placement minion, Kosta. Hi Kosta... He'll be checking up on all of us on a ScotGrad placement this month and writing up his findings again...mine better be good! ;) I might turn the tables and make him pose for a picture for my blog with some SUPER!NATURAL.... Mwahaha Until tomorrow....

Summer Placement Day 14 03/07/14

First day back after my Training days and my boyfriends Graduation from Edinburgh Napier University and it's been busy!

Today I've written a blog about my ScotGrad Training days, Been in contact with more Colleges and Universities and organised 3 or 4 more Fresher's Activities across Scotland.

Since I've been very busy and running about everywhere I'm finishing early today and working longer tomorrow. Swapping my hours also because I will be getting more contact tomorrow and also starting talks regarding the social media.
