I know it was said on here that Scott and Jak are acquaintances/friends’ but in the game it seems like Scott is kind of iffy of Jak if we say ‘the big man got to us’.
I just am curious of how they truly know each other. Is it just they both smoke? Or is there more lore to that story?
Loving Reap and Sow so much by the way!!
In my mind they're more like acquaintances because they tend to frequent the same social circles. Scott is essentially a step above a drug dealer, and Ollie is one of his dealers who deals to Jak.
Jak and Ollie are more like friends than just a Dealer and Buyer situation, and Scott is Ollie's older brother so they just tend to be aware of eachother.
Besides, Scotts gang is a bit notorious in their city so I imagine Jak at work has dealt with them a lot. He doesn't exactly want to get too involved with Scott outside of generic friendlyness.
Scott doesn't want to get involved in Jak's life very much because Jak works for Colony.Co. (The big bad corporation that actively, somewhat secretly, kidnaps the helpless in their community.) So they tend to just have a vaguely passable friendly vibe about each other.
In Reap and Sow, during the scene you mention, they're a bit off-put by the players lie because Jak isn't usually obviously malicious or like that. And if he was, they cant really do much to stop him because look at that man he's fucking huge, and they know he works for Colony.co so he's clearly dangerous and protected.
They kind of have to pick their battles, but the street Julio lives on is considered their territory so if Jak did anything super fucked up there it'd be really disrespectful.
Jak in Reap and Sow is about 7 or 6 years younger than Jak in Lover's Trophy, so he's a little more on the reasonable and earnest side. Anyways thats my hot take, and thank you for enjoying Reap and Sow! It means a lot to me.
Edit: Sorry the drawings are shitty poo poo, i've had a long day.
