Kudos Goat #3
I have been with this company since I moved out of Mum and Dad’s.
Some, even most, will be surprised that it is an energy company. But readers of this blog will know that it is deliberately so. Generally speaking you only ever hear bad things, no-one ever say’s anything when everything is working as it should and not many say when they have went above and beyond the call of duty.
For me this company has gone above and beyond more than once, yet I did not take the opportunity to say so publicly while they get slated.
They have helped seemlessly when I have moved house even in the face of aggressive tactics employed by nPower to recoup monies owed by a previous occupier on me.
They also made the move seemless when I moved again. Everything working as it should!
At the time of writing I just tweeted about my Smart Meters. Well, as with BT who got my Kudos Goat #2, the Engineer was friendly. Obvious you may think, but increasingly they are the face of the company they work for.
So, if you haven’t guessed by now my Kudos Goat goes to;
Scottish Hydro. My energy supplier for Gas and Electric. Price matters but so does exceptional Customer Service!

SSE Scottish Senior Open returns for 2014
Fairmont St Andrews will welcome some of the biggest stars of days gone by when it stages the SSE Scottish Senior Open for the sixth successive year.
The event, one of the most prestigious on the European Senior Tour, will take place on the resort’s Torrance Course from August 15-17, where Santiago Luna will try to defend the title he won last year.
The Spaniard’s victory was his first on the over-50s circuit and came 15 years on from his defeat of Tiger Woods in St Andrews during the now-defunct Alfred Dunhill Cup.
This year’s will be the 22nd edition of the SSE Scottish Senior Open, which was first won by England’s Tommy Horton in 1993. He claimed the title for a second time in 1997, while Neil Coles, Bill Longmuir and José Rivero have all added their names to the prestigious roll of honour.
There is an outside chance Miguel Angel Jimenez will take part in this year’s SSE Scottish Senior Open
One man who will be particularly keen to win this year will be Scotland’s Sam Torrance, the brains behind the host course and a winner of the event in 2006 when it was staged at the Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club near Edinburgh.
Torrance, the European Tour’s all-time appearance record holder, came within a whisker of winning last year, eventually finishing tied for second, one shot behind Luna.
The SSE Scottish Senior Open is a great opportunity to see some of the stars of yesteryear up close and personal.
There is also an outside chance that Miguel Angel Jimenez will be amongst the players taking part. The Spaniard turned 50 a couple of weeks ago and so became for the senior circuit. However, it is still unclear how much the oldest player ever to win on the European Tour intends to compete on the Senior Tour this year.
