There’s a Stevenson exhibition at NLS. I haven’t been yet but it looks very much my kind of thing 🏝 It's on until May.
Explore the life and legacy of Robert Louis Stevenson in the Pacific at ‘Tusitala: Pacific Perspectives on Robert Louis Stevenson’ Stevenson is best known for literary classics such as ‘Treasure Island’ (1883) and ‘Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ (1886) This exhibition presents a unique view of Stevenson’s time in the Pacific, highlighting the profound influence of its people and places on his work. In collaboration with the University of Edinburgh’s Remediating Stevenson project, the exhibition features new works from Sāmoan, Hawaiian, and British artists alongside historic pieces from the Library’s archives Join us to explore the story of a writer who arrived in the Pacific as a colonial outsider but became known as ‘Tusitala’ – teller of tales. Plan your visit at the link in our bio. George IV Bridge, Edinburgh Until 10 May 2025 Free
