-042 is just a depressed Pegasus who dreams of being able to fly again.

-Sometimes when no personnel are nearby, it'll look up at the clouds and whine a little, as though mourning/grieving.

-When particularly sweet feeders try to get it to eat, it'll only open its mouth if it sees that they are sad.

-It knows very well of the harm it can do if it nuzzles someone, so it tries to avoid doing so after the incident with Dr. P██████ , not wanting to hurt anyone else.

-You adore horses, both real and "mythical", and so when you met 042 and became in charge of tending to its bone protrusions, you instantly fell in love.

-The people who usually supervise the wingless horse were astonished when they saw that it allowed you to feel the stumps.

-You also noted that it was suffering from phantom limb syndrome, which was another major reason for its sadness.

-You'd nurture and coddle the horse during its routine checkup, which made it more responsive and willing to eat and drink as time passed.
