What do you think about artificial intelligence?
Do you thinks humans are obsessed with escapism (books, video games, movies, etc.)? Are you looking for an escape? Do you think that’s a bad thing?
Are we eventually going to ‘run out’ of new combinations for music, art, language, etc.? Is there a limit to human creativity?
I do not believe artifical intelligence is inherently good or bad as a concept. It can be an incredibly useful thing, but can also pose a great risk, depending on a number of factors. For example, O5-2 SØLAR1S is essential to the functionality of the foundation, but SCP-1984 Dead Hand has the potential be a massive threat to the world as a whole if left to its own devices.
In short, yes. Humanity overall is, in your words, "obsessed with escapism". Whether this is good or bad depends both on an individual's chosen method of escapism as well as if they use it with moderation. [{She's choosing to ignore the part about whether she's trying to escape something. She absolutely is, and her chosen method is to bury herself so deep in her work that she is left with no time to think about other things, but she won't admit that.}]
While the number of possible combinations of notes, colors, words, etc. is finite, the number of possibilities is so large that reaching a point where every possible combination has been used is nigh to impossible. Humans will always find new ways to express themselves. The human commitment to creativity is truly a unique trait.
