My paintings so far for Birbfest which is being held on Instagram this year! I started on day 8 and will do my best to keep going through the month. I'll likely catch up on birds once I'm through the rest of the list! I've been giving myself a time limit of 2 hours for painting. The Andean Cock-of-the-Rock took 1 hour and 30 minutes, the Indian Paradise Flycatcher took 2 hours and the American Purple Gallinule took 2 hours! I've been using different brushes throughout my painting to find interesting textures it's been fun!

A lot going on right now, life is chaotic and my mental health is taking a hit. I'm feeling rather burnt out. So I'm giving a lot of thought towards what sort of artwork I want to be doing rather than taking on every single project that comes my way. This may mean a change in what commissions I offer. I've become known for certain types of work simply because it was the only work I've been able to get. But I need to take a step back and try to rekindle that spark of passion that got me drawing in the first place. So for now I am doing my best to just doodle every day. Taking time to experience other mediums and trying to stay away from PC.
