Happy Memorial Day everyone! I hope your weekend has been a safe one, and that we all have reflected on the sacrifice that some gave all so that we can do the things we do. Although I am happy with my execution of this Swiss Buttercream, I am not thrilled with the color. My intention was to have purple colored frosting on these vanilla cupcakes. I guess I didn't have enough coloring to counter the natural yellow of the buttercream. They still taste amazing and the silky texture coats your entire mouth with flavor. Any colored buttercream is still better than no buttercream! Lol. Stay safe everyone!

• @scratchbakers • bucketing down with rain, of course we decided to head out for brunch! Crumpets to share, with an avo mash and tomato salsa; homemade flavours and fluffiness in the crums. A freshly made brioche, more like an open sandwich. But full of flavour, with cheese and slivered ham.
