I wonder if Randy's full name is Randall Meeks Martin.
obsessed with this photo why are they both so pretty
is x reader stuff still considered cringe
if not
mickey slowly stealing and replacing all his partner’s clothes/jackets with his own just so he can see his partner wearing his clothes while also being able to add more stuff to the fucking shrine he has of them in his closet
mickey idolizes roman from a distance, completely in the dark to who he really is. to mickey, roman is this film genius. roman’s fame becomes intoxicating to him, and he convinces himself that no one understands roman’s work like he does. the obsession stops being idolization and starts becoming possession.
it escalates pretty quietly at first. mickey memorizes his filming locations, learns roman’s routines, tracks his movements under the excuse of “research.” he knows it’s not harmless, that he’s a fucked up psycho who wants to be close to greatness. the work of art he admires. but the lines blur fast. he follows roman irl the same way he studies him on screen, watching from the shadows, collecting fragments of his life like trophies for him to admire. subtly becomes a game; how close can he get without being seen?
when roman finally notices, the mask starts to slip. mickey expects a reaction in which he’d have to kill him. instead, he sees recognition. in that moment, the illusion shatters. mickey realizes roman isn’t just this beautiful filmmaker. he’s something far more familiar to mickey. a murderer. and even more horrifying, roman isn’t in the slightest repulsed by mickey’s obsession. he admires it. he mirrors it.
that’s when when realizes the truth: his obsession didn’t lead him to greatness. it led him to someone just as sick, just as broken, just as fucked up as he is. and worse than that, roman sees him not as a fan, but as a reflection of his own being.
Mickey and Roman who realize they can never break up because then half of them would be gone.
Who would turn off all the lights behind Mickey? Who would squeeze his arm when he go too violent in public? Who would remind him about important dates? Who would toss him his wallet when he inevitably forgets it on his bedside table?
Who would drive all the fanatics and freaks away from Roman? Who would remind him that he’s doing good and people genuinely like him? Who would randomly take a picture of him and put it in his pillow case? Who would help him with his movie writing? Who would close all the doors he leaves open?
They have molded together, it’s impossible to separate them without them just getting worse almost immediately?
I know I talk about how like Mickey and Roman have what the other wants, but it goes further down…
Mickey can’t make eggs to save his life, but Roman can. Mickey makes amazing bacon and hashbrowns, but Roman overcooks or undercooks them every time. So they make breakfast together.
Mickey HATES laundry, but Roman is fine with it, Roman can’t stand the dishes (gross food makes him wanna barf), but Mickey is fine because it’s a chore he gets to stay moving during. So they have a good chore swap routine.
Roman teaches Mickey the art of truly tapping into someone else’s head and getting into their emotions, and Mickey teaches Roman how to let his instincts and senses take over.
They compliment eachother in every way possible. Mickey forgets his wallet wherever he goes but Roman always remembers it. Roman leaves doors open everywhere and Mickey is happy to close them behind him. Roman talks to the media and press, Mickey keeps off paparazzi and other vultures.
Roman and Mickey who are literally puzzle pieces that connect …
Me when it comes to writing about pure speculation 🥹🥹👍👍🗣️🔥🔥
TW: Mention of animal death + SH
Randy’s already spiraling. Between trauma that nobody is taking seriously because he can mask it, his horrific, pain inducing unrequited love for a Sidney Prescott who acts like she genuinely couldn’t give less of a shit, and always having to look over his shoulder, he’s fucking exhausted. He can’t sleep, he can’t eat, he can’t focus.
He’s going fucking mental.
He keeps getting these intrusive thoughts that he blames on the lack of sleep. Killing Sidney. Killing Derek. Killing that cat that always hisses at him on the way to class.
So much gore he cannot get out of his mind. His therapist says it’s because of the trauma he endured, and that it’s normal. She doesn’t give him anything to help.
He stops going to see her.
Randy starts picking at his skin when he gets upset. It leaves gashes that sting for hours, and then he picks the scabs. It helps him. He knows it’s not healthy, but god does it help him.
Randy is slowly loosing himself and he has no clue what to do about it.
Mickey notices. Mickey easily picks up on Randy’s suffering.
That’s because Mickey goes through times similar to that. It’s not unheard of for him to go through depressive episodes. When he goes through these, he usually just bedrots, breaks some things, kills someone, and moves on.
He also knows he’s extremely valuable during these times. So why wouldn’t Randy be?
That’s how it starts, he just starts talking to Randy. Putting on movies full of gore and carnage around him, talks about weird shit. But at the same time he’s incredibly nice, as if he’s trying to help Randy out of this hole.
It works. Mickey finds the stray cat dead one day. He knows he’s won.
From there it’s easy. Just slowly release information and see how he handles it, flash some more gore, comfort him, and then slowly release more information.
Randy dives off the deep end. He’s less into harming himself and more into harming other people. The world rocked his shit when he was 17, why can’t he get some revenge?
Plus, he likes Mickey. He’s nice to him, and shows him some interesting stuff, and he’s funny and likes the same movies.
After Randy learns everything and is on board with it, Mickey lets him join him on the easier jobs, then slowly works him up.
They are crazy bitch killers together until they either get caught or die 🥹✌️
