It began ripping apart Balder's Gate.

Tentacles reached into the streets, snatching people up into vapors.

Where they were reformed inside pods. A prison for every body.

It's doing something to that Githyanki.

Something horrible.

Then it's your turn.

You try to turn your head, and it compels you to look ahead and remain still. You meet those orange eyes.

You are frozen. All you see is the tadpole. It wiggles with anticipatory glee. You are its first taste.

The life you knew before is over.
