If you do not know what Slime Rancher is, and can’t be bothered to look up, “Slime Rancher game”, then we shall tell you.

Slime Rancher is a game where you take slimes, put them in farms, farm their “plorts”, which are crystalline small structures used for everything back on earth, and hope you don’t go unconscious due to fighting a Tarr with water.  You’re on an island, gaining money, and just being rich in general.  It’s very Minecraft-like in the way you grind to get cool gear, and we recommend it if you like cute little tabby or pink slimes looking at you, or like giant blobs eating your face.  Well, check it out anyway ovo’

Today, while not running around with dogs, I read this book. When I read '13 Reasons Why' 10 years ago, I immediately knew I would carry the story with me. The same happened with 'The Future of Us.' To be honest, I wasn't expecting that much of an impact from 'What Light,' yet here I am...completely astonished by the talent Jay Asher has for capturing human emotions and for writing characters who are anything but one-dimensional.
