It’s missing @scriibble-fics hours again.

I am once again rereading one of her fics and there’s so much talent there. The world building and character development is just so good.

I am reading the fic she got so much hate for, and it’s breaking my heart to read the first chapters notes that were so full of enthusiasm and the love she received in reviews. What a loss for the Jily fandom.

I hope she’s well and thriving, and still writing.

I know I write really long stories, but I seem to tend to be reading only short stories lately. My ADHD only lets me focus longterm on one thing at a time, I suppose 🤣 🤷‍♀️

But yes! Love me some @chiechie97, @scriibble-fics is classic, and I have actually just discovered @kay-elle-cee! I’m sure they are not new to anyone else, but apparently they just started writing smut so that’s why they’re new to me! 😅😇 Things That Haven’t Happened Yet was such a delicious treat!

ALSO, don’t discount just staring at art until your brain fries to smithereens! 🔥 (Thanks @daiz-nsfw 😏)

Hi!

I'm going to answer this publicly because you're not the first to ask me and I'm sure others are wondering the same.

Scriibble left the Jily fandom because the discourse about whether James could be written as a Death Eater escalated to the point where she was receiving actual death threats in regards to her fic Bought.

I hope she's still writing because I know how important it is to her, but I don't know if it will ever be for the Jily fandom again and I wouldn't be surprised if she never comes back.

I'd recommend her original works under the name Maisie Beasley on Amazon if you're looking for a Scriibble fix.

Anyway I really fucking miss her.

Voyeur | Final Chapter - by @scriibble-fics

Well, I finally managed to draw Lily.

I don't really like drawing Lily, not because I don't love her (i love), but because I have a lot of trouble separating her from Ginny and not ending up making them both the same, so after a lot of searching I finally ended up bumping into Miçary Ruiz instagram, a Brazilian model/influencer, that reminds me a lot of Lily, and I managed to draw her.

And about Voyeur: It was the first multi-chapter fanfic Jily that I read and every time I thought of drawing a scene, I thought of the last scene for some reason, and the fact that Lily was wearing a dress - that I'm obsessed with. (and Voyeur is one of my favorite Jily fanfic, not just because I found out about Hestia x Sirius, but because it's just AMAZING)

So, I'm sorry @scriibble-fics if that was not the color of her dress, I didn't find the description of the color lol, but I hope you like it <3

btw, this photo was taken at sunset, I wouldn't wake up at 6 am to see the sun rise, but I think I did it justice lol <3

4. Are there any writers that inspire you?

Oh boy, are there! So many and for such unique aspects!

@blitheringmcgonagall for her unbelievable dedication to her fics and the amount of effort and research that goes behind getting all her details right, and it’s visible in her writing.

@bcdaily for basically teaching me everything there is to know about Jily romance and combining fluff with just the right amount of tension and conflict.

@ghostofbambifanfiction because no one writes meet-cutes and humor like she does. Also, such a cheerful, gorgeous human being.

@efkgirldetective, @missgryffin, and you, @scriibble-fics for letting me know that smut writing could get so creative, beautiful, magical, and that it’s possible to build thousands of words worth of storylines around it!

@the-dream-team for basically being such an all-round lovely person and really driving home the message that writing is for fun and enjoying the journey and getting to discuss it with your friends more than anything else

@clare-with-no-i who’s taught me that I can fill pages with words just talking about the feelings of a character without having them utter a single dialogue. Bond and Free really is a masterpiece.

And even though she doesn’t write, I’ll mention @all-things-jily here because without her, I wouldn’t have discovered half the wonderous fics I’ve read lately, and therefore, have been inspired by.

why don't more people write dark!james or slytherin!james???

there are so many possibilities there!! I just finished Bought and I feel so bereft knowing that it will never be updated and we will never know how it ends. I wish more people would explore the dark!marauders and morally grey jily trope!!!
