Haha, sorry, but I really do need a break. (Well. Not a break as much as a break for my liver, a return to a ‘normal’ sleeping schedule, a reminder to my IRL friends that I still exist, and, OH YEAH, to do wedding planning.)

BUT ALSO! I’m so, so, so excited to have time to READ again 🥰😍🥰 I really do struggle to read and write at the same time, bc I don’t want to be swayed, or forget my own plot and characterizations, so I really have to limit what I can inhale!

So I’m excited to finish @breaniebree’s Jily! I want to start @clare-with-no-i Bond and Free! @thequibblah’s Come Together! @hogwartslivy’s Trackside 🏎! Or @chdarling’s The Last Enemy! I’m currently obsessed with @theesteemedladydebourgh’s Jingle: Holy Fuck! 🎄 and @maraudersftw’s Room Service and @cesays’ Come What May 💃 AND @startanewdream ILLICIT AFFAIRS! 🤤

Wow, omgosh, yes, I feel like you just asked me if I was human. Of course I do!

I am very much aware that I will never have the poetry of @maraudersftw ‘s words, or the depth of stories as @scriibble-fics, the dedication of @breaniebree (MULTIPLE MILLION WORDS?!), the characterizations of @smiley-jily, the patience of @acid-rain2912 (how anyone doesn’t combust writing slow burns is so beyond me…), the compartmentalization abilities of having multiple awesome stories going at once like @chiechie97, or the super cool intense knowledge of something wonderful and fun like @moonawrites ! ⚽️

But you know what? These people have these skills, and HOW AWESOME is it that I can read their stories about my same favorite idiots and enjoy those special skills? 🤩 Everybody has their strengths, and I think that’s why we can be here, story after story, still having fun ☺️

So yes! I enjoy, I read, I share, I leave reviews! I think feeing envious is natural, but you don’t have to act on it 😉 There’s room for all of us 😁

I finally caved.

I tried so hard to wait so that I wouldn’t binge and be waiting (not so patiently) for the next chapter. But your asks and gifs and sneak peeks got to me.

Now I can’t wait for the next chapter!

Hi!

I love that you are already 100K in and love the dedication of waiting until you had a good chunk complete before posting! I totally am all about having that writing buffer (makes me as an author feel less anxious). But how long are you imagining Enemies Within to be? I am already very curious about the plot, but I know if it's anything like What Are You Doing To Me? I will not be able to wait week to week. I will want to binge it so I guess I'm asking how long you think it might be? -- also I realize this is ironic coming from me because I can never give out this timeline. All I can ever say is there will be more.

Breeeeeeeee! YES. So much less anxious having a buffer! I also feel like the writing headspace and posting headspace are so, so different and are not at all compatible and I’m not surprised that I’ve gone from writing 5k a day to having writer’s block. (Mental hijinks! 🤯)

The only problem is, I am truly terrible at estimates, and I completely thought this story would never be longer than 100k, so I’m not quite sure how to answer you! Plot wise, I think I’m more than halfway, but it just depends with how many smut scenes I write now, bc that’s where I’m at! Soooooooo… 200k? Tops? But maybe 150k? I DON’T KNOW! 😅
