Romans 12:2 (NIV) - Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.
The same way we seek for food after not eating for days, we should seek after God. The same way we seek after water after not drinking for a few days, we should seek after God. Like a treasure hunter looking for gold, should our mind be searching and finding true righteousness. God's righteousness. The kind of righteousness that God himself will be happy to say, "I am happy to call you my son." Be still today and listen to God. Open your Bibles and read the teachings of Jesus found in the 4 gospels. There are many teachings that Jesus gave to show us how we can get in touch with our Heavenly Father. God bless your search for the #truth. .
“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”
1 Peter 1:6-7 NLT
Genesis 18:19 For I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.”
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Isaiah 54:13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.
"Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." 1 John 4:11

A convo with a friend got me thinking of something that I always toil with in my mind. Just because you've known someone FOR YEARS, a friendship LITERALLY all your life, does that mean you HAVE to tolerate their bullshit for sake of longevity and preservation? Me, Myself, I think not. Hell no.
"Everyones got shit" my dad says, meaning have a little more tolerance and patience for people, because we're all dealing with some shit. We've all got demons but does the battle not change and evolve with us as time goes on? I know comfortability is a powerful feeling, and no matter how bad something maybe, its often easier to stay a course rather than deal with the unknown of change.
NOW let me tell you, I'm the first to admit my shit, however I'm also working on it. I'm the kind of person that loves and welcomes change. I'm always looking for improvement in everything ( which is bad for romantic relationships cause I'm never satisfied). Because of this I only want to be around people who are also looking to evolve into their best self possible. I'm 24 trying to accomplish big goals, I don't want to be dragged down by people still acting and speaking the same way they did when we were 10, and 15. AINT NOBODY GOT TIME to deal with petty ass stress all the time.
Everyone's so quick to say but you've known them for so long. yea, I have. so why hasn't our friendship grown with our age. We've known each other so long so why don't we treat each other better? When I was a child I spoke as a child ( 1Corinthians13:11) I thought and reasoned as a child, when I became a woman I put the things of childhood behind me. I've got somewhere to go, and have no time for distractions, and stress from petty drama.
MORAL: Longevity isn't all its cracked up to be, and don't let people us that to guilt you into staying somewhere you no longer fit.
