Genuinely evil and disgusting that so many people are taught to hate how bodies store energy

I hate how often allos will accuse you of attacking them for telling them to stop doing something. They'll pick apart your response to being sexualized a million times before they consider why they view it as their right to sexualize you. They'll pick apart your response to the assumption that you'll partner a million times before they consider why they think romance is mandatory. They'll pick apart your response to the "jokes" they keep making about how you're secretly attracted to your friends a million times before they consider why they can't view friendships as affectionate. And they just don't fucking care whether or not they upset you, it's all about how you respond to that upset. An allo could tell me to kill myself if I don't want a relationship (something I've actually been told before btw) and if my response is anything other than a calmly worded essay explaining why that's wrong to say to someone, then I'm a heartless monster biting people's heads off for being a little silly.

I will never shut up about how it's not okay to kill bugs until I can look up a random bug and the first dozen aren't "here's how to brutally kill that annoying stupid random bug"

Things Tumblr could be doing instead of running shitty updates:

- Adding more color palettes and/or starting seasonal ones.

- Fixing whatever bug makes Tumblr crash when I come across a post that has too many gifs.

- Getting a handle on the bots.

- Getting rid of A.I. moderation and instead hiring better staff at good wages.

- Getting rid of the image borders, or making them opt-in only.

- Investigating staff to fire bigots and kiwifarms users, making stricter staff rules on how they handle reports and harassment.

- Making a "can't post without alt text" option and a "don't show posts without alt text" option.

- Making a "false post" feature, where users can post something and when someone tries to interact with the post in any way there's an immediate pop up like "you fell for it!! bahaha loser 🫵" and the post is automatically deleted.

- Making blog searches actually work.

- Making it easier to have links and line breaks in bios.

- Making it so you can actually block anons, and blocking automatically blocks from all side blogs.

- Making the boop button permanent (but still opt-in only), with seasonal differences in paw appearances (and an option in settings to make it low/no motion).

- Updating Tumblr T.O.S. so that staff harassing users is actually against the rules and punishable.

- Turning all of the new features (reply like buttons, reblog menu, spread out post footer) opt-in only or getting rid of them completely.

Imagine your entire life everyone's just blatantly lying to you about who you are, and some day eventually you realize that you've been lied to, that you're not who they said you are. And all the liars decide that they know more about you than you do, that you're mistaken, that you can only have malicious intent. And it tears you up inside but you know they're lying so you keep fighting to be yourself, and even if/when you make it to the point where most people believe you, you just have to grapple with the fact that everyone decided to lie to you and hurt you and they'll do it to everyone you love too. That's what it's like being trans
