@hvadeina // whisper said: “ i just wanna know if you think they have belly buttons ” [meme]
“Motherf--” One hand claps over her chest, the other nearly lunges for Whisper in shock. How quiet she walks, with hardly a creak of floorboard, a whisper of cloth, the hush of a breath. Nerves frayed and burned at both wicks, it takes a second for Quinn to collect herself and register the question posed. Ah -- of course. Fingers pinch the bridge of her nose, before offering a vague shrug. “Hell, Whisper, I -- I guess? Synths don’t need them if they’re artificially created. But it’s about blending in, it’s about looking like everyone else.”
OKAY. Solas loves it when people ask questions and want to learn, YES. He also loves to learn new things himself. But he’s not gonna trip over himself in the process to do it? Knowledge is power, therefore knowledge is dangerous. Sometimes knowing things is worse than not knowing, so a lot of the times, if he feels it necessary, he’ll be very hesitant when learning something new. If he gets the feeling that what he’s about to understand will BLOW HIS MIND, he’ll go over the pros and cons and then choose whether he’ll accept the consequences.
EDIT: He took in the knowledge of the Forgotten Ones because he was planning. He knew something needed to be done with the Evanuris, and the Forgotten Ones had knowledge they never shared with anyone. So, even though it was dangerous, he took that knowledge and used to. Not saying he always chooses to deal with it properly, but? He’s certainly not stupid about it; he clearly succeeded, just not the way he expected.
