Book Banning is just another form of Bullying...
"Don't Say Banned: How the Banned Book Movement Effects The Queer Community" by Alexis Rockwell
This was part of the Graphic Novels & Comic Round Table addressing comics challenges community zine project from American Library Association.
"We Don't Need The Police* *We Need Networks of Community Care" A zine about rebuilding interdependence with my comrades made by and for:" by #radicalhistoryclub
This is such a helpful guide to anybody who is involved in any sort of advocacy. It has spaces to fill out in case you are incarcerated, who to contact, things to do to help yourself not get overwhelmed and so much more. Very valuable in this timeline we are living through.
Is it too brash to say the soft part out loud? Please don't steal our Zines. We are trying to fill it with ziney goodness and want everyone to see them. I mean, it just goes without saying that you should share, right? Thanks so much! Erin
Who shares the restroom code with ICE agents? by Marc Fischer, Public Collectors, 2025
This is by the same people (mostly Marc Fischer) who brought you the following zines in our Zine Library: “Towards a Self-Sustaining Publishing Model: A ten minute lesson/rant/manifesto,” “Temporary Services: The Library Project,” “Why Aren’t People Buying Your Books and Zines at the Fair?”, “Library Excavations #5” by Dale E. Shaffer, and the ever-popular “Why Self-Publish Under Fascism?”
It’s Half Letter Press and Public Collectors. I was just poking around their website and—BOOM—I had books in my cart and wound up buying things. I don’t think zine libraries are supposed to work that way!
Okay, so this is a very darkly humorous sort of manifesto. Reading it will probably make you laugh, but you may also feel a little guilty for laughing.
Our copy appears to be different from the version currently on their site. Ours is a two-sided poster, not a zine per se.
It’s worth checking out—even if you kick yourself for finding it humorous or if you cringe at some of the possible scenarios it brings up.
Be safe out there, everybody.
Does This Make Me Look Vain??? A Decade of Self-Portraits (2013-2023) By Mara Gervais, October 2023
"How It Is To Be Fun" put out by Sprouts Distro, 2012
This came out a while after Occupy Wall Street (September 2011) It's got a lot of anarchist tactics just in case you find yourself in a situation where those tactics are needed - I'm just sayin'.
There aren't writing or publishing credits on the back, but it is available at a few distros. In case you'd rather own it.
