A King Left Alone

All the prophecies that Caspian had been told by Aslan were fulfilled. The Green Mist swept Narnia and took as many victims as it could. Families, friends were torn apart but the Dawn Treader persevered in faith that, in the end, led to victory.

...And Aslan was with them.

Years went by and seasons turned, but the Green Evil Power did not cease to fight. It found the way again to cause pain. The Green Witch killed the beautiful Lilliandil, kidnapped Rilian and kept him under her spell that the prince was not able to remember who he really was. Just for one hour a day.

...And King Caspian was left alone.

The king's suffering heart called Aslan to come, although he felt that Caspian was broken in faith now. Thereby, he couldn't even appear in his lion form, but flew in as an owl. He descended to the balcony of the castle and landed so softly like touching silk.

The Telmarine who saved Narnia

The Telmarine Age finally came to the end, and the hope of a new, better future rose like the first star in the night sky. The Narnians repented of their sins, and Aslan - as once promised - returned to them and gave them a new king: Caspian X. (headcanon, you can read more here). King Miraz was dead, and the tribulation of old times was already in the past.

Everyone was enjoying their time in the castle after the coronation ceremony, peace was planted in people's hearts again. One man, however, seemed to be concerned. The Pevensies had left, and the young king was forced to face his duties alone. It would not easy to rebuild a kingdom after an oppression.

"Are you sad because of Susan? Or are you worried about how you will act as king?"

Lucy smiled as she looked around the cabin. She wanted to see if there was anything that she could use to help clean and ease his pain. 

“I lost track of some of the action, Caspian,” she said softly as she went for the cloth she spotted lying on one of the bottom shelves. “How did you get wounded in the leg?”
