to say he was STUNNED was an understatement. he was positively thrilled to see shane. it had been years since they’d seen each other last, & part of him had wondered if he was still around. chances had been slim, but he’d never given up hope. he knew shane was resourceful & more than capable of taking care of himself.

jim groans as he enters shane’s quarters & immediately flops down on the sofa. that’s one of the benefits of being a guest on the enterprise. the guest quarters are luxurious. jim isn’t even sure his quarters are better.
he & shane come up with a plan, of sorts. whenever one of them is tired & in need of company, they’ll come find the other & take a nap. it’s a nice arrangement & one that jim makes use of often.
whining softly into a pillow, jim pouts. “ shaaaaane. ”
There wasn’t much in the way of prayer that came to Ares from this little town. They were mostly simple, kind, folk here. Not the type to call to Ares for aid. Yet still, he felt one call in his name. A small voice, an injured voice, asking for strength. And though Ares had sworn not to be a god, he knew he could still act as a man.
With Alexander at school and he taking some time to enjoy a healthy lunch at the local diner, Ares moved from his seat to the bathroom. He stepped inside and the familiar scent of blood and pain hit him. Someone was injured, but clearly not able to seek proper medical attention. Curious.
“Is everything okay back there,“ he called at he only occupied stall. “Do you need help?“
