CONGRATS ON MEETING THE STRETCH GOAL!!! Now that it's been met, what happens next? Any ideas for how long it might be for the books to be printed and sent out?

Well, right now, we’ve still got a few days left in the campaign, so that has to finish up. The book also needs to be put together- ie, I need to put all the content into the book file, make sure it’s all pretty, etc. (which now also depends on getting those extra few authors all squared away). Once that’s done, then it’ll be sent to the printing company and we’ll go from there. Hopefully, that stuff will be done by like... mid-end of October? 

As far as how long printing/shipping will take- an estimate I got from the printing company a while back put it at roughly 3-4 weeks to print stuff, proof it, and then ship it all to one location (ie, me). After that, it would take some time for me to put packages together and send everything out, so at that point, it kind of depends on where you live to some extent.

Anyways- I can’t offer a really concrete timeline for that right now, but that’s a general idea of it. I’m hoping that everybody gets their books before the end of the year, though, so... fingers crossed?

out of morbid curiosity, what happens if the campaign doesn't raise enough to meet the goal?

Since it’s a fixed funding campaign, everybody who did contribute will get their money back, and unfortunately, we won’t be able to go through with production of the books. Hopefully, though, we won’t have to worry about any of that.

I FINALLY got the parcel card in my mailbox today and I was SO EXCITED I rushed straight to the post office!!! Only to be told I can’t pick it up until tomorrow *cries* it was a rollercoaster

As an artist, is it possible for me to incorporate some of my art into my work?

The issue with that is that it would require a different printing setup than the one I’m looking at right now. Colour printing is super expensive, and even just black and white printing that’s art-appropriate (as opposed to being best suited for text) is about 50% more expensive. We’re also trying, ideally, to put the focus on the fic.
