I made plans with Klara to go to the Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas. Since I only had to leave by 4 pm, I had the rest of the day to pack my bags for my vacation. Lazy as I am, by the time I had to leave, I had picked out my outfits but hadn’t put anything in my suitcase yet.

Through different circumstances, I had to wait for a long time at the Reunion Tower. When Klara and I finally wanted to go up to have a drink, there was a waiting line of at least 45 minutes. 

A little bit too long, so we decided to walk to the city. We ended up in a downstair bar that looked pretty cool. We had a cocktail and shared a pizza. Second cocktail was a bad choice for me. “Seasick crocodile” almost made me sick. It tasted like green peppers or just pepper, I’m not sure? Anyway, the taste was horrible. After a while we ordered a “mixed cheese plate”. It’s nothing compared to what you would get in Belgium; we got 3 small pieces of cheese, some roasted bread, tiny bit of honey, a couple of pecan nuts and I guess pomegranate. It all tasted good but for $18, we had expected more. Klara ordered another cocktail while I was still struggling with the crocodile. In the end, Klara didn’t like her new cocktail so we switched and drank each other’s cocktail. Win-win!

When I got home it was around 11pm. I cleaned up the house, packed my suitcase and ended up going to sleep at 1am. Only 2,5 hours before my alarm would go off to get to the airport. Ugh. This is so typical. I’m the worst procastinator. I hate myself for it, yet I can’t seem to change. I guess I’ll catch up on some sleep on the airplane.
