Sebastian had long ago accepted that any mortal who beheld their true self would surely flee in terror, shrink back in disgust, or irrevocably descend into madness.

Until Agni gazed back into dozens of flashing red eyes that blinked within murky darkness, and whispered, in unequivocally smitten tones, about how lovely the demon was.

Until Mey Rin held twisted claws without a trace of fear, and raised them to her lips.

Something about the way the maid and the khansama look at him makes Sebastian feel pretty. They see past the light refracted off the water’s surface, peer into the fearsome depths where leviathans prowl and ruins molder into obscurity. Yet they still cover her face with kisses until she is flushed and giddy. When the demon cries in their lovers’ arms, whether from the pain of a form that doesn’t quite suit them at present, or the shame of inadequacies that cannot always be hidden behind perfectionism’s flimsy veil, Mey Rin and Agni hold them as though they are a precious someone, not the ephemeral “no-one” who drifted through the lonely centuries. Agni gracefully adorns his hands with henna, and Mey weaves flower crowns that she tenderly places among raven-black locks.

The demon knows that he’s infinitely unworthy of such noble, generous hearts, but something about those sweet, open smiles transfigures him, makes him beautiful.

ALSO Agni and Mey Rin being the most wholesome supporters and loved ones to Genderfluid Sebastian. Finding the right gifts, using ALWAYS the correct terms, even if Seb is secretly being one gender and has to appear another in public, and comforting and assuring the demon at times of intense dysmorphia. (Which actually happens a lot more than Seb ever let on, but being a “servant” in all intents and purposes the demon is so used to ignoring their personal needs entirely 😔)

Anum is the Oldest and the biggest momma's boy in town even tho he doesn't look like it.

His name means miracle of God in Hindu (if I'm wrong someone plsss correct me 🙇🏽‍♂️) Agni's was the one to peak it.

His birth is a miracle as a whole, since it was a bit complicated through the whole pregnancy for mey-mey :(

But they still love every moment.

Very calm and collect but just compliment him or praise him once and his beat red in a matter of seconds.

Tries everything and anything when it comes to physical activity.

But rather stay inside when he gets the chance.

Low-key hates gathering and having to interact with people. Has a deep feeling that he can't connect with anyone cause his just... Isn't like everyone else??

Agnsty at times when he boils down and thinks about it too much.
