SECI Expands Renewable energy India with Solar-BESS Tender

SECI has issued an EPC tender for a 70 MW ISTS-connected solar project integrated with a 25 MW/50 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh. The procurement follows a single-stage, two-envelope process followed by an e-Reverse Auction, with the selected contractor responsible for complete engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and maintenance. The integrated project structure requires expertise in both utility-scale solar and battery storage technologies, while the Rs 3.81 crore EMD highlights the scale of the opportunity.

The tender reflects SECI's continued shift towards dispatchable renewable projects that combine clean generation with grid-scale storage.
