My Pathfinder 2e party just finished our 2 year campaign in a 6 hour boss fight session that was by the skin of our teeth for the last almost 3 hours. We had one character actually full on die literally 4 times and just keep getting brought back over and over. The final boss literally exploded when she died and 3 of us were left standing with a SLIVER of health to bring up/revive the rest of the party. The last maybe 8 sessions have been so extremely time-crunchy that we had a doomsday clock running up or down based on our failures. If we had chosen at all to rest more than the 20 minutes we did before the final fight we would have actually doomed our in game world that we have several other campaigns running for. That was extremely exhilarating. Not able to sleep tonight. God dammit I love ttrpg

Since there's literally nothing else to do around here, me & @dr-darkwood have been playing through old Pathfinder Adventure Paths, & I've been using our characters as practice with my tablet ^•^. Tumblr still won't let me post webps, so here they are in shitty png format!

Umber (left) & Lavaryne (right) are our first characters, for Second Darkness. Umber is mine, a Ganzi cross-class Kineticist & Summoner (I tried to make it as weird as possible) & Lavaryne is a Ghoran Green Faith Marshal Inquisitor.

These are Lavaryne & Umber's drow alter-egos for Part 4: Endless Night (Second Darkness is weird as hell). Left is Lavaryne's disguise (we called her Malice) & right is Umber's, Sinafey. Sinafey later became her own person via the Twinned Summoner archetype (I tried; it's been a ride).

We're almost through part 6, and plan to move on to Skull & Shackles (I really like pirates). Our characters for those:

Dispatia (left) is a Chelaxian diabolist Oracle, a disgraced noble of the same family Umber is a bastard child of (it's complicated). @dr-darkwood will be playing her (mainly because I don't like playing evil characters). My character is Zaitherin, a Fetchling (sorry. Kayal) Plague Eater Spiritualist searching for her long-lost father.

Shortly thereafter, for Serpent's Skull, we have Virtue (left) (his) (it's ironic) & Rue (right) (me). "V" is an aasimar antipaladin of Calistria (we go against the grain in this house) who's going to the jungle to....fuck....monsters? I think?

Anyway, Rue is a vagabond who was brought to Hermea after the drow became public knowledge (it's literally all Umber's fault), only to develop a complex with the overbearing dragon lord there who seemed to think it was her father (it's complicated) & escape on the same boat V is on. So.

Some of them are....better than others. I'm still kind of getting used to this kind of art. But it means I'm improving, right?

I'll probably post more of these as I do them. We roll our characters in advance, s there's a lot to work off of ^•^.

Dok’s D&D Campaign, Session 10

People’s work schedules lined up such that we can all play tonight!

Last time, the party made it to Baatezu’s Elbow (where the shooting star fell), dealing with potential saboteurs along before setting off.  Once near the island they saw a flare shooting up, and when they arrived they tracked it to a large tower.  Near the tower was a pile of corpses, some of which animated and attacked, but they made short work of them.  Inside the tower were the few survivors of one of the expeditions, who warned the party of strange beasts prowling the island... just as two dozen of them attack the tower!

Dok’s D&D Campaign, Session 09

D&D Night tonight!

Last time we wrapped up Lost Mine of Phandelver, and the party had just gotten to Waterdeep... only to see it be narrowly missed by a shooting star that crashed into an island about 20 miles offshore!  What will the PCs do?

EDIT: No game tonight, two players have to work.  And maybe no game Sunday, either  :(
