What do you think Jiara's kids look like as babies/kids?
OKAY I ACTUALLY HAVE INSPO PICS FROM WHEN I WAS PLANNING THE FAMILY AU SO LEMME JUST DROP THEM
Here’s how I imagined James: he’s got a more similar complexion to Kie and has the wild curls like her but JJ’s eyes!
Then the twins!! For Gabe (left) and Zack (right): it was leaning more towards copies of JJ, although I have my own wee thing with them having heterochromia eyes
And then Elliot: I wanted her to be an exact carbon copy of Kie because it would be ironic since she’s very similar to JJ and a total daddy’s girl!!! So she has the curls and the complexion and the pretty brown eyes!
I would love some headcanons about jiara as parents when their kids are more like teen aged! I’m obsessed with all of the talk of them with a baby/toddler, like LOVE love, but want to hear more about older family jiara too!

Look, their relationship with each of their kids is different
Take James for example
This boy is a mummy’s boy through and through, even when he’s older
However, if there’s one thing Kiara has noticed, it’s the way her eldest son follows his father’s footsteps
Kiara is the first to notice when James has a wee crush on his fellow classmate
She’s the first to notice that it grows from more than a stupid crush to something deeper
And she can’t help but snort at the thought of her son being so entranced by this badass girl from the opposite side of the tracks
He truly is his father’s son, no?
Unlike other kids, James is actually very open with his parents and goes to his mother for advice a lot when it comes to his love life
Only because the one time he asked JJ, it led to James realising that the love of his life was not a flower person and that two hundred roses could cause quite the allergic reaction
Regardless, it warms her heart that her son comes to her for advice, but it also makes her heart hurt to see him grow up so quickly
Don’t get me wrong, she is happy that he’s happy but she is ready to go full mama bear mode if she needs to
The twins are a bit different
Gabriel is the golden child, always so soft spoken and thriving in whatever class he’s given
It confuses Jiara how they could create such a well behaved child whilst they…were anything but
Until they realise their son is so smart he’s outsmarting them
It starts off small and they don’t even realise it
Small wee lies that fly over their head because why would they suspect Gabriel lying to them?
However, they don’t confront him about it
Oh no no, they are not those kinda parents
They blame the game until they are in control
And they will win because they will be damned if they are outsmarted by their teenage son
With Zack, things are a little more blunt
They know what to expect with him
But what they didn’t expect was for when their son became a big softie
When Zack came to his father, begging him to teach him Spanish because the girl he liked speaks Spanish
When Zack came to his mother, asking if he could borrow the car to take this girl out on a date because he couldn’t take the picnic basket on his motorcycle
Small things like this shook Jiara to the core but it also started a monster
Because now JJ has a scrapbook planned for Zack and Cassie’s wedding, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it
Because that’s his OTP right there
And then you have Elliot
Baby Elliot, the pride and joy of the family, and their little girl
Elliot growing up is probably the hardest on Jiara
It’s the last of their kids and it’s getting to the point where they won’t need them as much
Until they realise their kids need them in other ways
Like when Elliot asks her father to take her to see some rock band on the mainland because none of her friends want to go and he gladly takes his daughter
When she’s struggling with school and embarrassed to ask for help, Kie is by her side to remind her that it’s always okay to ask for help
When that Carrera-Maybank competitive gene hits and her parents stay up with her all night to help her bake 200 cupcakes just to prove to Lindsay Johnson that she can raise more money at the bake sale
Jiara are there for their kids no matter what, it’s just in different ways than to when they were kids
They also 100% think they are the cool parents
Without a fucking doubt
JJ labels himself the cool dad and he will proudly wear his apron which says so when he’s grilling some food for his kids

BESTIE DO I?!? Listen the second generation pogues are my babies and I’ve spoken to @rcsales about them so many times I can’t even
My favourite headcanon is that Zack learns Spanish for Cassie! She was adopted by Pope when she was five and only spoke spanish before slowly learning English as she grew up, but it was still her mother tongue
And I imagine Zack is just SO WHIPPED (like father like son, right?) and he just loves the way it sounds when she speaks spanish and he wants to surprise her so that she has someone to keep speaking with
And in this wee universe, JJ’s mother was actually spanish so despite the act he puts on to everyone he’s actually fluent in spanish because of his mother (he started hiding it after she left because it was easier to play dumb than to be reminded of his mother every time he spoke it)
But he’s just shocked when Zack comes up to him, telling him he wants to learn spanish and them having wee lessons and Cassie finding out and it being the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for her😭😭😭
Also just fucking look how cute they are? I can’t even with my babies
I just think it would make jj very emotional that he didn’t really have anyone who loved and cared about him growing up but his kid is going to have all the pogues!

I feel like everyone keeps sending headcanons of jj talking to their baby in kie’s belly but imagine him telling the baby all of their pogue stories, like what we’ve seen on the show, and getting super into it explaining everything
Can you imagine Kie coming home to see JJ and all the kids cuddled on the couch while he tells them stories of the pogues in such an animated and excited way, doing all the voices and hand gestures and just😭😭😭😭
