YouTuber It’s Black Friday posted a video of her attending Wave Gothic Treffen, a gothic music and culture festival in Leipzig, Germany. In this video, we briefly see a performance of The Devil and The Universe, who I have shared here before, so yay! There is also a clip of a performance by the awesome second wave goth band Nosferatu, who obviously is not of the era that I cover here, but, hey, it’s important to know the older bands too.

When would you say the second wave of goth music began? I've seen most people place it at some point in the 1990s, though I've seen others place it as early as the later 1980s, pointing out how those goth bands had a decidedly different sound than the earlier 80s goth bands. Maybe those later 80s goth bands were just the transitional stage. What do you all think?
A little something from a different era, but this was too cool to not share. I wonder if any of these bands still exist.
