haul from my local bookstore :)
pictured: Australian Marine life revised edition by Graham J. Edgar, two national geographic magazines from 2009 (ice baby and the tallest tree are their titles), and seasons 1-3 + i believe a special episode of futurama.
always such a joy to the bookstore! I highly suggest visiting your local bookstore when you can. went in looking for a bbc documentary dvd set aswell as a magazine and i came out with all that! always a good surprise with the secondhand bookstores,,, you really never do get what you expect hehe
I’ve been really nervous about posting this finished painting because it took a very long time to paint - I think getting all those tiny books drawn, painted, lined, and shaded, was a good cumulative 16 hours over about a month? I just wanted to send these Nigel and Antwan here on a lovely date to the kind of enchanted bookshop where every mismatched shelf is packed full of every conceivable book you might be looking for, and there are plenty of quiet corners among the wiggidy-wonky stacks to hide and quietly thumb through a comprehensive guide to local birds, or have a little cuddle with your sweetheart. (The fellas didn’t mind how long this took to paint, because it just meant they got to spend more time on their date.)

They’ve been selling old, rare, and secondhand books for over 50 years and have an original 18th.c window.

It’s holiday week in Brazil! My classes will return in 25/04, so I’ll try to rest during the week. Today I studied with a friend inside the secondhand bookstore she works and then I went to my best friend’s house to study a little more and now we are just vibing together lol
Good weekend and holidays to all!
ネットで本を買うことが多くなって、本屋さんに出かけることがめっきり少なくなった今日この頃。でも、偶にはこうしてぶらぶらと、本屋さんを冷やかして歩くのもいいもんだね。
When life turns to 💩, escape to the used bookstore. Always fun to have diverse interests lol
The feeling of walking into a second hand book shop is one that i cannot describe. The one i frequented in my town had to close due to the Quarantine and likely will not open back up. It is a shame
