For the past three days I’ve been attending a virtual conference on religious trauma. It’s been full of many really meaningful sessions about how to work with those who have experienced religious trauma. But one of the main takeaways for me is the relief it is to be in atheist centered spaces. So much of mainstream society caters to religion (specifically Christianity) and I didn’t realize the mental toll of this until I got to be in this unapologetically atheist space. Much love to my fellow atheists out there making the world a better place.
