If I were ever presented credible evidence for the existence of a god or deity then sure, I would believe in that god or deity. However, I would not worship that god or deity because I don’t want to spend my life catering to an insecure ego.

steadfast secularists and the prophetic pious are amalgamated beneath an abstract thresher of nihilism. ‘Modernity was initiated by the European assimilation of mathematical zero. The encounter with nothingness is its root. In this sense, among others, it is nihilistic at its core. The frivolous ‘meanings’ that modernizing societies clutch at, as distractions from their propulsion into the abyss, are defenseless against the derision — and even revulsion — of those who contemplate them with detachment. A modernity in evasion from its essential nihilism is a pitiful prey animal upon the plains of history. That is what we have seen before, see now, and doubtless will see again.’ [Nick Land, XS Nihilism and Destiny]

by William McGurn | Will no one speak up for Karen Pence other than her husband? In scarcely a week, the vice president’s wife has become a public face of hate. CNN’s John King suggests that what Mrs. Pence has done is so grievous maybe taxpayers shouldn’t fund her Secret Service security protection...
That's it. In this world full of bullshit, if I ever have kids (i probably won't) I will teach them the concept of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Greek/Egyptian mythology, the various folk/tribal culture that existed before colonialism. Teach them the concept of Evolution, Paradigm Shift, Plato's Allegory of the Cave, read Michel Foucault to them before bedtime. On Sundays instead of church they will have history and philosophy lessons. And when they are old enough if they still CHOOSE to believe their is a man in the sky (why people refer to god as Father/He/Him even though he is not human is beyond me...) then so be it. But I refuse to put on blinders on my child like a horse 🐴
