I asked a couple of days some help for my #18thcentury #Jarretiere these designs won. It's Brazilian Song that says " (hidden) in the light mists of the passion within " work done in crewel embroidery with stitches from the 18th century. The design and letter font is modern •••• btw Garters or jarrerière were used to hold ones socks up before elastic was woven in the sock.🌻🧦 🇧🇷 E ganhou a votação essas #jarretière do #seculoxviii Elas tem rimas da música brasileira "Anunciação" de Alceu Valença. •••• as ligas ou jarreteiras eram usadas pra segurar as meias nas pernas. Antigamente não existiam meias tecidas com fios elásticos como hoje e elas não paravam em pé. O bordado foi feito em ponto crewel que é uma técnica da epoca. Porém a fonte e o design é moderno (é meu mas quem quiser, pode copiar, te passo o risco) Ps.
