So!!! I currently have this concept for the Security Update au, specifically about Ballora, where Mrs. Afton possesses her.
Oh, but how? You may ask. No fears bbg I GOTCHU.
So far it's planned that Michael's mom is MiSsInG (willy boy got her 😔) near the time of Elizabeth's death. (tbd exactly)
Basically something happens, she figures out what William has been doing, and it's in the middle of an argument with him. Of course, she's not dumb, and tries to escape it, but William made up his mind even before knowing she knew, and so she gets murdered. Nowhere to put the body? In a panic, he decides to put Ballora into springlock mode, and place his wife's corpse in there.
People debate about the Funtimes being capable of being springlock animatronics, which is fair. Copying Fuhnaff here, when Baby is first seen in SL she's in a drooped position, though still has her wiring, but is absent of her eyes. This alludes to her being similar to a springlock suit, without an endo, and I could apply this logic to Ballora. As well with this significant "change" (quotations because it's not confirmed if it's canon or not haha) she's also got added features when she's still in SL, as her body was considered much more advanced. She's more prone to her joints breaking or dislocating due to the flexibility that William made Ballora with, per a ballerina, but also because she hasn't been repaired in years, and the only one she could turn to would be Michael, but she's far too ashamed to speak with him, knowing she failed to protect him as his mother, and now works from shadows to protect him in little ways. This makes it so SL changes slightly.
Michael may or may not get scooped in this AU, and I'm leaning more towards not, because with the protection of his mother it changes a lot.
Fun facts!! All of this only really happened due to ONE major change (with 1 or 2 minor changes that butterfly-effected down), that of which I won't directly say, and it's up to any of you readers to figure out. Wow I'm actually amazing at this mystery thing muahahha.
Anyway this is a bit of a ramble don't mind it. Don't count all of this as canon, but it is a basic idea!!! On this blog I cover the WHOLE universe, and that includes the earlier parts of the timeline! If anyone is interested in reading certain parts (including the Ballora/Mrs. Afton speech in place of Henry Emily's speech).
