A new Nao?! Otome Reviews: Jimi-Kare: My quiet Boyfriend Part 2 (Ending Spoilers!)
Hey all! Mochi here! Welcome to part 2! The endings review!
WARNING: This will contain spoilers for the game for all of the endings if you all want a walkthrough of the choices for the endings, I will a short list post for it but that will be at a later time. If you don’t want to be spoiled and experience the game for yourself...SKIP THIS! You have been warned!
Alrighty then...Moving onward to the endings. After Lv.5b there is a split to make a choice these choices bring you closer to the ending and after Lv.6 depending on what you picked before that will determine your options for second choice after that your ending! Like I said before in my first part of the review of the game, there are a total of 4 endings and 14 different character images.
Ending 1:Prince Ending
So this is the best ending as after this the game credits roll!
So you choose “Choose by yourself” and “Turn down his idea”. Nao then shows up in a cool black v-neck type shirt and his hair parted like MC instructed him, He feels confident. MC suggests they do Kabedon, or “Wall bang” the act of a guy or girl slapping the wall, blocking the other person, Kabe meaning wall and Don meaning Bang, for the contest and Nao demonstrates, giving the MC butterflies as he cornered her. But Nao still isn’t too sure of himself as he runs into Ryouta the next day, who belittles him and warns him that the MC is just becoming a loser staying with him, making him wary of being around her and reverts back to his old self. Later when practicing with MC dressed up in his cool clothes, he tells her he won’t go through with the contest. She yells at him, saying he worked so hard and why was he going to give it all up and runs off, starting to cry and who should show up now but jerk-face Ryouta, who tries to convince MC to hang out with him, but Nao comes to her rescue, shoving Ryouta away, and he’s(Ryouta) surprised that it’s Nao, he tried to belittle him again, only for Nao to ignore him and state he isn’t going to be bossed around.
Later at the contest, THEY WIN! It’s a celebration for class A! But wait! Nao has a surprise, he’s called over for a speech where he confesses his love for MC and we get the lovely ending photo...
After that the credits roll and the music plays.
Best Ending!
Ending 2: Arrogant Ending
So you choose “Choose by yourself” and “Comfort him” Just like ending one Nao is dressed up in his cool black clothes, however after his encounter with Ryouta, MC, insted of yelling, tries to comfort him, and suggests he talk to other girls to boost his confidence, and suggests flirting... -_-...well this won’t end well will it?
A few days later, and Nao has been absent from school and MC is unsure of the contest at this point since they haven’t practiced. She decides to go to his house and talk to him, thinking she only made him feel worse with her advice, but trust me...it’s worse. She wanders around until she finds him, looking completely different, even his hair and he’s surrounded by girls, She confronts him but he brushes her off, saying he only took her advice and he felt so much more confident with all these girls with him. She asks about the contest but says why bother since he would win anyway. He then tells her that school is boring and he less confined the way he currently is, he then closes in on her saying she could be his, grabbing her chin saying she likes jerky guys, she gets angry and slaps him, running off crying wondering what happened to her sweet Nao.
Like...seriously!? These bad endings are so drastic! What is going on here!?
Ending 3: Dark Side Ending
So for this ending you had to choose “I’ll choose for you” then “Apologize to him” After I’ll choose for you, MC dresses Nao in girl’s clothes. He gets upset when he wonders why She’s making him cross-dress as he continues to tell her it makes him uncomfortable. After picking Apologize, he gets angry with the MC and leaves school. With MC feeling guilty, she reaches out to him but he won’t answer her calls and he hasn’t been coming to school. She then decides she’ll go to his house, still with a notion that something bad has happened she rushes into his house (And apologizes for that too) to find Nao in a grey hoodie and his hair pulled over his face and his eyes a little darker than normal but MC doesn’t notice this and Nao Invites her in. She apologizes again only for him to look angry again and say she doesn’t know anything and pins her to the floor, menacingly reminding her, he’s a guy, not a girl.
Uhhh... well then... this is not my favorite ending...it’s too forceful. So she admits her mistake and all of the sudden he flips it full attack mode?! Not my favorite...just..no.
Ending 4: Princess ending
So for this ending you had to choose “I’ll choose for you” Same as ending 3 then “Deny it”, MC makes Nao Dress up in a dress and he’s mortified, only MC denies that she’s only interested in making him dress for her own enjoyment and that she wants him to win but in her inner monologue she admits she may have taken it a bit too far but Nao actually buys it and is even more excited that she has a plan to win and off they go to practice. Firstly taking Nao outside among others dressed up where lo and behold Ryouta sees Nao and thinks he’s a girl and hits on him but Nao never says a word. While at school they express their excitement with MC calling Nao “Princess” their classmates wondering if the contest has gone to their heads. Finally the day of the contest Ryouta is daydreaming about the beautiful girl (Nao) and makes his way to the contest and sees her onstage and asks if she goes to their school only to find out that it is Nao and runs, completely mortified. Nao and MC win the beauty contest and leave the auditorium in excitement. They congratulate each other and MC tells Nao that he is special to her. We then get the image and it concludes with MC calling Nao her “Pretty Princess.”
Over all I actually found this one funny, much better than ending 3 and 2... this made Nao and MC even more lovable as characters although Prince ending is ultimately my favorite.
