Probably herrelationship with Kashra just by virtue of Kashra being the amenable andforgiving person that she is. Like, Liliqus does not deserve the amount ofkindness and forgiveness that Kashra always gives her, if we’re beingcompletely honest?? But Kashra knows that there just aren’t that many SnowElves anymore, so she isn’t very keen on cutting herself off from one (even ifshe is undeniably awful in every way). And whether she likes it or not, Kashra’seasygoing nature has rubbed off a bit onto Liliqus.
The World: When has one of your character’s dreams come true?
Growing up, herdream was to fight for the Snow Prince in his army. And she did eventuallyrealize that dream, even if it did end up being more of a nightmare.
The Tower in Reverse: When has your character’s actions led to disaster?
Uh, always? HAHA!
No, but, the incident that first comes to mind is the one that is also the mostdefining for her.
Liliqus was a high ranking soldier in the Falmeri Army, andwas chosen to be one of the ones leading the assault/invasion on Saarthal. Shewas initially proud to be a member of the famed Falmeri Army, proud to serveher people and her prince without even a second thought. She was the perfectand model soldier; ruthless in battle, unwavering in loyalty, never oncequestioning just what it was she was fighting for or against. The night of theinvasion was her first big wake-up call.
As she and her men stormed the city,there was no armed resistance like she was told there would be. This wasn’t tobe a glorious battle celebrated in songs, this was a shameful act of paranoia. Andnow it was too late to stop it. It was a massacre. Innocent civilians, even ifthey were Atmorans, were slaughteredlike animals. It was then she realized that her blind obedience to the Princewas a mistake. She had been trained to fight soldiers, warriors, not defenseless families. There was no honor in comingafter their people like this.
So in the middle of the slaughter, she fled. She abandonedthe city, abandoned her fellow soldiers, and abandoned her life within thesafety of the Falmeri kingdom, too ashamed to ever show her face incivilization ever again.
