Welcome to your system-level behavioral check.
On social media, people don’t respond to what is actually being said—they respond to what they ‘feel’ it represents. How it revolves around their personal feelings. Not their knowledge or life experience, but their own personalized opinion of it. At that point, the conversation is already dead.
Many of them are so inured…
They will fight to protect it. People no longer defend truth or facts.
They defend:
Identity
Belonging
psychological stability.
If any idea that threatens that notion of reality, the idea, and the people that deliver that idea are the enemy—even if what was said is neutral, factual, and has loads of data to back it up.
It’s not just “they don’t get it.” It’s they can’t afford to get it.
Because if they did their worldview collapses, their group identity fractures, and their sense of certainty disappear. Most people are not interacting with reality anymore, and it’s obvious.
Just look at what they post. It is no longer out of humor or boredom.
They are showing the world who they really are. They are interacting with interpretations that protect them from reality.
And worse…
They will aggressively defend those interpretations as if they are reality itself. Conversations don’t break down because people disagree. They break down because people are not even talking about the same thing anymore.
And the system:
rewards that confusion
amplifies it and
feeds on it.
What is seen and how it is interpreted are not always what is real. The More We Are ALL Supposed to Know!
