a sheòid ; morrigan&sehun
All of Morrigan's children were precious treasures and glowing beacons of pride. Each in their own way.
A goddess of turmoil and secrets and strength and hideous magics, the Celtic Goddess had produced as many darling little demigods as she had crows from shadow to block out the sun- each were her offspring and she remembered them all. Crawling from the depths of fire and clawing her way into the sky had not shaped her into a mother, no. Thousands of years of holding wretched, sobbing soldiers to her breast and coddling stillborn babes back from death, had.
From these lessons she had learned the willpower and fragility of mortal blood, and become a mother who could nurture the human-ness cursed upon her children thusly. She was not a born mother, but she was one who did not make mistakes. She was a being of viable foresight, but long since had she reasoned with fate and found it immovable and unforgiving.
She could not save her little treasures from its clutches, but she could hold their hatred and love in equal measures until their hourglass ran out.
Twenty three years ago she had begotten what she could see was a gorgeous warrior of a demigod; strong and wild. He would take after her beautifully. Twenty years ago she had left him, no longer able to bare the constriction of her wings. How else was he to learn the harshness of life, and grow into the anger she had passed on to him?
Never had it been her intention to lose track of her valiant little warrior, but fate had rudely snipped her string to him- and what could she do? She was a goddess with powers of fate when concerned with death, surely, but the fate of life was not her domain.
So imagine her glee when her bumbling baby boy had found his way to her. A little tracker; how proud could she be? Her chest felt ready to burst as she went to meet him. Not outright, of course. What a shock that would be. No- she wanted him to settle in before her presence brought strong emotions from him. Instead she followed, learning from afar his habits and vices and the way he smiled to himself. These things had all been stolen from her.
Even now she watched him from the rafters. It was darling of him to come to her. A babe knows it's mother's heartbeat, and he had come right to it, spending hours at a time under her watchful eye at Zero to Hero. She was finding him to be such a sweet thing, even his unruly behaviors brought joy to her heart. It was time, she had decided, that she be allowed to hug her wayward son. Ample distance had been given, she liked to think.
-praise was due, first and foremost.
"Your strength is wonderful, my dear. I'll have to get new chains for the bags if you keep up. The links will surely break."
Landing quietly behind the demigod Morrigan brought delicate hands together in indulgent claps, dark eyes taking in the boy before her with such love it was hard to keep her smile soft. She was eager to shower him with affection he had been kept from. She doubted he would accept such a thing so soon.
"Don't you think it's time for a break?"
