Nana for HIGH CUT
âI was gonna wait for dramatic flare, but when you look this good, why wait?â
If anything Jinah hadnât expected toget hit on tonight. Especially not by the demigoddess facing her. âUhm,âshe stammered, unsure of what to say or how to act now, her expression becomingapologetic. âThatâs⌠kind of you. But IâŚI⌠I got someone.â Shehonestly wasnât good with âhandlingâ people who flirted, that much was obviousin the way she almost began to apologize to the woman in wordstoo.
Feeling as if she knew her fromsomewhere, though, her eyes narrowed momentarily, the question arising in hermind. âYou look familiar?â Posing it as a question, to allow the other to chanceto reject the idea she did turn her full body toward the attractive female.
âI love you. So, if you need to do that thing where we talk about me, and pretend like weâre not actually talking about you, itâs totally fine.â
Opening her front door when sheheard a knock Jinahâs eyes lit up in recognition at the sight of Hades. Glad tofinally see him again, since it had been a couple of weeks, before she coulddo anything the god said something which left herpuzzled. Frowning deeply in her confusion, she blinked and thenshook her head. âWhat?â Honestly not being capable to make sense of whathe was trying to tell her, she exhaled and then repeated herquestion, âWhat?âÂ
Searching her mind and memories forthat specific moment when they had pretended to talk about Hades while in truththey were talking about her, Jinahâs mind came up blank. Wondering what on earththe god meant with this âriddleâ he threw at her, the demigoddess still held onto her door. Thereby blocking the god his way inside if she would not move.
Teen Wolf Sentence Meme
âAll right, did you forget the part about the family-murdering axe-murderer?â
âCome on, no one died, alright? Look, there may have been some maiming, okay? A little mangling, but no death! Thatâs what I call an important distinction.â
âCome over to my place at nine. Plan on staying the night. I like to cuddle.â
âDo you have any idea how bad you look? Youâre like one giant open wound.â
âDoes anybody else want to rethink the plan where we just, uh, kill âem?â
âEveryone should have a dream! Even a pathetically unrealistic one.â
âI canât believe I got my ass thrown in a vault for three months for you.â
âI donât want to kill your optimism or anything, but both of us have been trying to do the same thing for hours.â
âI heard there was a party. Donât worry, I invited myself.â
âI honestly thought I would never have to burden you like this, but youâre my only hope. Iâm going to be taken. I need you to find me.â
âI just killed your family. Do you want to die like them? Begging for your life? Or, do you want to fight? Iâll give you some help. Wrap a towel around your fist. Smash the mirror. Use one of the shards to defend yourself. Go ahead, Iâm waiting.â
âI love you. So, if you need to do that thing where we talk about me, and pretend like weâre not actually talking about you, itâs totally fine.â
âI was gonna wait for dramatic flare, but when you look this good, why wait?â
âIâm always terrified. I-I act like I know what Iâm doing, but I donât.â
âIâm not angry. You know Iâm gonna have to find a way to punish you though.â
âIâm not asking you to save just my life. Iâm asking you to save everyone theyâll ever hurt again.â
âIâm supposed to call you first when I find a dead body?â
âIf you already have all the information, what do you want from me?â
âIf you lied and it gets people hurt, Iâll be back to take away more than your pain.â
âIn preparation of some big changes, Iâve decided to drop some of the dead weight in my life, and youâre just about the deadest.â
âItâs okay. Itâs okay. Itâs perfect. Iâm in the arms of my first love. The first person I ever loved. The person Iâll always love. I love you.â
âMy grandmother can move faster than that, and sheâs dead. Do you think you can move faster than the lifeless corpse of my dead grandmother?â
âOh no, Iâm not doing that again. You find the dead body from now on.â
âThe full moon is coming, and with the way things are going, I have a feeling itâs gonna be a rough one.â
âThe only one whoâs shown any interest in me is a rabid coyote.â
âThe problem is the people I need to talk to right now donât talk to people like you.â
âThis new-found heroism is making me very attracted to you. You wanna just make out a little bit? Just to see how it feels?â
âThose who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.â
âTry putting the highlighter down between paragraphs. Itâs chemistry, not a coloring book.â
âWe donât go out in the middle of the night murdering people, do we?â
âWe protect those who cannot protect themselves.â
âWeâre just a bunch of teenagers. We canât handle this.â
âWhat am I supposed to do with the hordes gathering outside the door?â
âWhyâs it starting to feel like youâre Batman and Iâm Robin? I donât wanna be Robin all the time!â
âYeah, well, you being happy isnât really a big priority of mine, since you stabbed me twenty times with knives.â
âYou seriously need to find something better than a baseball bat.â
âYouâre just a bunch of stupid teenagers running around, thinking you can stop people from getting killed. But, all you do is show up late.â

Still, with all that inside of his head, with all the sudden tension in his body and the gnawing fear that is tightening around his chest, with all those instincts inside of him still yelling at him to run; his hand never leaves her cheek. His touch doesnât get any less gentle, his fingers donât tighten their grip, his hand doesnât even move an inch. And after an agonisingly long moment, he gets himself to move his thumb, brushing a tender movement alongside her cheek. Only after having fulfilled that motion, does he finally allow his hand to drop away from her, and does he allow himself to turn away, because staying in his position would serve nothing but make things worse.
It takes a clenching of his teeth and a balling of his fists after the turn before he can get himself to form words as he sets quite ostentatiously for his kitchen.
âDo you want anything to drink?â
Jinah noticed how Sehun began to tense up. How he started on creating that unnecessary distance between them again. Wondering what on earth had happened, what had set him off, to react in such a rejecting way she thought there was probably nothing else she could do but to give him time. Time and space. Thus when he moved and let go of her, she returned the favor.Â
Feeling quite empty now with him gone and that distance between them back into place she looked up at him. Expression kinda lost and holding a hint of the question she had been meaning to ask. But, of course, she refused to pose it since it would not benefit their current situation. It probably would make Sehun create even more distance between them.
âSome,â clearing her throat because her voice sounded unstable she repeated, âSome water would be nice? Not sparkling please.â Blinking at him for a moment as he so ostentatiously went to his kitchen, Jinah then looked around. Suddenly feeling out of place at his apartment she tried to shake the feeling by heading toward his couch and taking a seat in it. Comforting herself by saying that Sehun could change his mind again and that all she had to do was give him time and space, she waited for the demigod to return with her glass of water.
To Love You Well

âYou are Everything.â
Heading back home after a tiring shift at work Jinah was thinking about what she should prepare herself for dinner. Not looking forward to some long cooking session until sheâd have food, the thought hit her how she still had some delicious leftovers from the day before. Instantly feeling lighter because of the thought, the demigoddess turned her head to the side to look inside of the shops she passed by on her way. Noticing some new things in the displays here and there, her mind wandered off while she continued her way. But, suddenly, she had to turn her head back to the front when someone appeared -well landed- right in front of her. Â
Halting in her steps with a start, Jinah thought she would never get used to Sehun suddenly popping up out of nowhere. The demigod had his typical way of showing up in the strangest of ways possible when she least expected it. But she couldnât say she minded him showing up. In fact she loved his completely random visits, since they meant he was thinking of her, wasnât he? Looking up at him with surprise edged in her features, she got the feeling that something was wrong. Well, perhaps it wasnât wrong per se, but it definitely was odd. Something about how he stood there wasnât entirely like him.
Her surprise only grew when he reached out to hold her face in his hands and look at her so intently, as if he was trying to cling on to her so he would not drown or lose his mind. Heart racing in her chest, her confused and worried eyes met his wild, beast-like and insane ones. Exhaling a couple of meaningless sounds in confusion, as response to his, her body tensed up in worry and fear. Something clearly was entirely wrong with the demigod. Sehun did not stammer and make this incomprehensible sounds. Sehun did not take a hold of her head like that in the middle of the street. Or anywhere else where other people could see them for that matter. He only had showed her affection when they were alone. So, what was going on with him?! Was he dying?!
Reaching out with her ability, to verify herself of the fact that he wasnât, to her utmost horror and shock she found he was definitely not okay. âSehun...â she exhaled, her distress rising. âWhat happened to you?â She knew he was a warrior who got jumbled up in all kinds of things. He loved the danger and looked it up himself, so things were bound to get ugly. But this... this was quite different from any wound she had ever felt on his body. Everything inside of him was over-firing. Over-loaded. It was a miracle how he still was able to stand up and produce sound even. Taking a breath to tell him she was going to heal him, she got cut off by him. By his confession.
And where the world had been spinning at an insane speed before it now came to an abrupt halt.
Staring at Sehun, her breath hitched in her throat. His confession catching her off guard and overwhelming her, her muscles relaxed. Gazing into those brown eyes sheâd come to adore, the only thing she could do was listen. Listen to how he confessed so genuinely, so fully, so unlike him that Jinah thought she must be having a dream. For Sehun would never confess to her in real life. Especially not while using so many words.Â
Still, his words did things to her she didnât think were possible. Soon love spread through her entire body, it warming her and making her feel active and alive. An overjoyed smile blooming on her features, as she totally went along with this wonderful dream of hers, she lifted up a hand to touch Sehunâs. But then, alas, she got woken up abruptly by the touch and the feeling that came along with it. It telling her this was not a dream and Sehun was very much in need of her help. Which she of course was going to give.
The realization sinking in of how he honestly had confessed his love for her, it all became even better when he smiled and told her she was everything. That she was everything to him. His words echoing through her mind, Jinah was sure she was the most happiest woman alive at this point in time. âI love you,â she finally spoke the words sheâd been dying to tell him. âSehun, I love you.â Declaring her love, she mimicked his smile and took a hold of his other hand as well. Exhaling a chuckle her happiness was simply too big to put into proper words, but it surely did radiate off of her. At the back of her mind Jinah knew that all of this was very much unlike Sehun and that he probably was just acting on some kind of hallucination/delusion or something and once he was healed he could swallow his words back. But still, it didnât make her happiness any less.
âOh,â she exhaled, quite longing, âhow I love you.â Leaning in then to kiss the love of her life, at the same time she began to heal him. Knowing she was probably never going to experience anything as remotely as sweet and touching like this, she was sure to cherish this memory until the day she died. But for now, she was pouring most of her life force into the demigod to save him. Embracing him both with her arms as her ability Jinah was exhilarated as she let herself fall against and into him. Trusting him to take good care of her for when sheâd lose her consciousness, she pulled back from their kiss right on time to give him a content, somewhat lazy smile, before she fell into blackness, her body going limb.
The accident | Jinah & Perse
mppersephone:
(...)
The goddess stayed still, trying to take deep breaths and keep calm. Thanks to her position, her dizziness was tamed, so it was a lot easier for Persephone to remember what happened and reply to the nurse. âI havenât checked the calendar yet, but itâs Monday, February, 2018. I was driving to work while a cat jumped out in front of my car, then I crashed the car into a wall.â She almost chuckled at her own story, now that she recognized how stupid it really was. If she had driven slower and the road wasnât that slippery, she would have arrived at work in one piece by now.Â
âI donât have to be hospitalized, right?â Persephone asked once her eyes met the nurseâs. She looked somewhat familiar, but the goddess wouldnât be able to remember if they had ever met before, at least at the moment. Â
Jinah was perplexed when Persephone ordered the nurse to not call Hades. Stupefied by her sudden movements, the fact she didnât want Hades to be informed and by how she assumed the nurses would obey, the demigoddess just stood there for a solid couple of seconds. The nurse knew gods held certain privileges and worked in entirely different ways than demigods and mortals did. It was only normal, they led completely different lives, but it was always surprising when that fact got thrown straight into your face so abruptly like in this situation.
Staring at the divine person, who even when she was hurt looked and acted more like a Queen and Goddess than anything else, Jinah was stunned. It was only when the goddess offered her apologies for her behavior that she came back to her senses. Closing her half open mouth the puzzled expression got pushed aside by the mandatory gentle and professional expression from before while humility filled her. âMilady,â she said both accepting the apology as the order with ease. The thought crossing her of how quickly she was to comply to the goddessâs wish, she justified it by thinking how she was Hadesâ wife. She should respect her and her wishes/orders. If she didnât want Hades to know, yet, then so be it.
The corners of her mouth momentarily perking upward when Persephone chuckled at her own story, she was quick to offer her some consolation, âDonât worry milady, it can happen to anyone of us.â Showing her a gentle and supporting smile, she was glad to know that Persephone remembered the month and year. Blinking at the next question, she stuttered, âI...â Looking away from the goddess she fumbled a bit with some tools as she thought of a reply. âWe can check you fully, Milady,â she began, finding more confidence the more she talked since this was her area of expertise. âBut I donât think you need to be hospitalized because youâre divine.â Answering Persephoneâs gaze, she smiled lightly, âIâm sure you know where and how you will heal the best. So honestly youâre free to go whenever you feel like youâre good enough to go. Itâs all up to you.â
Pausing briefly, she contemplated for a moment and then decided on sharing, âI felt that your wounds are minor. So as soon as your dizziness has dissipated Iâm really sure you can walk straight out of here.â

And still he doesnât say a single word, for sound would be but a disturbance of whatever it is that hangs in the air between them, seeping into their very bones.
The moment where Sehun pulled back from their kiss came way too soon to Jinahâs liking. Still, the demigoddess opened her eyes and instantly -as if burned by fire- let go of the demigodâs jacket, her fluttering and singing heart coming to an abrupt but blazing fall. Expecting him to create a gaping distance between them, like he had done before, she searched his gaze, eyes ablaze with love. Yet soon a simple and earnest plea clouded the purest feeling of all over. It was a silent plea to him to not pull away from her, to not break this precious moment. Since she found she hardly had gotten enough time to show him how much he meant to her, to make him feel her love.
Hands trembling, they hovered next to Sehunâs leather jacket. Taking rather shallow breaths through her lips her eyes flickered from his left to his right and back. Right when she thought he was going to pull away, he leaned in instead. Not to kiss her but to softly nudge her nose. The small, simple and utterly wonderful gesture of affection pulled up the corners of her mouth. Heart fluttering even more than it had done so far her eyes were shining, her smile radiating and soon their lips found each other again. Easily Jinah reached that state of perfect happiness again, one where she was oblivious of everything else and only wanted to dive straight into him.
Feeling as if she didnât want to miss this kiss, nor him in entirety, as her arms wrapped themselves the around the guy who she deemed to be the love of her life, the thought that it was a dangerous plan to lose herself into Sehun did cross her mind briefly. Other people would call her blind and stupid for loving such a rough and unpredictable guy as him, but still, she was going to take the chance. It was no secret they were the clear opposites of each other. She healed, he destroyed. But it could never take away the fact of how whenever he was close to her, she was the happiest of all.
She had known and accepted for quite a while he was not only present in her head but also in her heart. He was able to make her feel the most, the deepest, out of everyone she had ever met in her life. It went both for the good and the bad emotions, of course, but Jinah gladly took the bad emotions with the good things he was capable to make her feel. Although Jinah never thought she would fall in love so soon at Mount Phoenix, let alone that it would be with Sehun, she had. And all the while -even though it might have seem completely insane- she had cherished this hope -like a little child cherished a dream or wish- he would catch her when she landed. She had fantasized about him actually doing it and now that it finally was happening it was almost too good to believe since he was so soft, so affectionate. It was better than anything she had been capable of dreaming.
And as all she felt and breathed was him, it was as if he was poisoning her veins. Completely intoxicating her with his strength, his undeniable charm and this sweet side of his. But of course she didnât mind Sehun overtaking her mind and body, since she was his in each and every way and very briefly she dared to feel like he was hers.
Heart pacing when they broke their tender kiss, a soft but overjoyed smile bloomed. Looking at him, her eyes wandered over his gentle looking features and committed them to mind as she pressed the side of her head more into his palm. She honestly didnât know what they should do now or how things would turn out for them. All she knew was that she loved him and that in this moment Sehun was showing her he loved her back. And as she gazed into his eyes she felt how she loved this boy, this man, this warrior wholly and unconditionally. It was as if he was the one she had been waiting for to love all her life.
Fingers travelling up Sehunâs spine they tangled themselves into the hair at the back of neck and head, soon fondling it. The gestures being filled with devotion Jinah completely felt at ease with Sehun. Radiating it, together with her love for the male in front of her -who held her heart in his rough and weathered hands- she simply looked at him for a moment longer. Soaking in the knowledge that he cared for, perhaps even loved, her she gently turned her head to press a gentle kiss in Sehunâs palm. Eyes closing momentarily she exhaled a content sigh as she put her cheek back into his warm hand. âI love you,â she exhaled the words, them coming to her so naturally she doesnât fully realise she had spoken them.

Confrontation

(...)
His fingers touching her chin are followed quite rapidly by his lips landing on hers, initiating a kiss that is nothing like the first one, in that way that itâs the softest heâs ever been with anyone in any situation. Even though heâs holding on to her chin, the touch is gentle and soft, easily allowing her to pull away again should she wish to, and the thumb of his other hand gently strokes over the back of hers. His eyes are closed, his body and stance as relaxed as heâs ever been while he allows himself to fully lose himself into the moment again; into her.
Now that heâs in a safe place where he knows no one will be able to intrude on them just like that, the edge is finally gone, the worry that someone might see them and realise exactly what she means to him has left him, and for perhaps the first time in ages - or ever? - Sehun allows every single wall heâs ever built, every defence line and every pretence, to fall away in front of another person.
In front of her.
Every so often one was luckily enough to experience a moment which felt entirely right. It were those moments which made you believe in life, in purpose, itself. Since nothing, no force in the universe, was able to convince you different of the fact that you belonged right here. And as Jinah moved closer to Sehun, to let her head rest on his shoulders, the demigoddess was experiencing such an exquisite revelation. As if every step, every decision she had made in her life had led her straight to his side. And suddenly the losses she had suffered before didnât seem so hard anymore to carry, since they all had to happen so she could be standing right here.
Marveling about how brave she felt at this specific moment in time, with her head resting on his strong shoulder, their arms gently pressed together and their fingers intertwined, Jinah thought that this had to be the second most boldest moment in her life. First place, of course, went to the time she dared to kiss Sehun. In the past Jinah never would have used the word âcourageousâ to describe herself with. In the face of danger she was one of those who froze. She just stood there, being an easy prey to get snatched away. Yet, in the past couple of weeks the demigoddess dared to think -at some very few moments, like this one for example- that she was brave. It ceryainly was a different kind of courage she possessed than the one you needed to face an opponent in battle, but it still was the same in essence, she thought.
When a moment passed and Sehun didnât reject their current proximity, love flooded through her veins. The delicate rush warming her bones and soul in the cold night. Relishing in this allowed moment of affection and closeness Jinah followed Sehun home. Her mind stilling, since everything still felt so right, it was easy to enter the apartment building, take the stairs up to the right floor and then fall into step with the demigod so he could lead her to his apartment. His home.
Heartbeat soft, gentle, but strong, her smile mirrored the warmth in her soul and rush in her veins while she stood in Sehunâs apartment. Glancing around the living room, without actually seeing anything, her eyes soon went back to the one person she wanted to see in her life. The smile etching itself more into her face as he took off his mask, Jinah did the same. Holding her white mask in her hands, since she had no clue where she should put it, she handed it to the demigod when he reached out. Her fingers pulling down the zipper of her coat next, before she could get out of it, Sehun leaned in.
His soft kiss, although highly unexpected, was more than welcome and once again felt so right. Instantly losing herself in it -in him- she let go of her zipper, took hold of the sides of his jacket and pulled him close while at the same time she took the tiny step that was necessary to close to distance between them. Kissing him softly, but most of all lovingly back, her hands let go of the leather as soon as their bodies were touching. Instead she wrapped her arms around the demigod. Preventing him from going away from her again. Since there was so much she wished to tell to him in this moment, in this kiss, that he shouldnât be going anywhere soon.

And although the mask covers a big part of his face and nothing has changed about his entire outward appearance, there is still that tiny little something thatâs just different from before - softer. It canât be called welcoming, but at the same time he stopped exuding that cold warning to stay back. And his left hand automatically moves to gently brush some hair behind her ear as he pulls away, then lowers itself to take gentle hold of her hand. Fingers brushing past fingers in a way that can easily be rejected, just in case she doesnât agree with this action. Just in case she wants to be the one to reject him for a change. Itâs well within her rights, after all.
Jinah had long discovered that the miracle of living all came down to love. She also had learned that there were different kinds of love people were able to feel for others. It was as if every different person you came across was capable of making you feel a different kind of love, as in a different facet of it. No love was ever the same and that probably was the reason why people feared losing it so much, since you never were able to get it back.Â
Sehun, was one of the people who had ignited the flame of romance inside of her. It still surprised her that the gruff demigod somehow had been able to touch not only her heart but also her soul. They certainly were polar-opposites and she doubted if they ever truly would be able to get along. Yet her love for him already ran so deep that it also was unconditional. In such a way that he could push her away countless of times.Â
Which he did. Time and time again.
Abruptly coming back to reality from the wave of love she had been surfing on while being in his arms, Jinah had to let go of what probably was the love of her life. Staring at the demigod, her eyes, and the slump in her shoulders, betrayed how disappointed she was with the current distance between them. Yet there was nothing she did to cross that painful distance. For she saw how Sehun had fallen back into that horrible aggressive, stand-offish stance of his.Â
It was an attitude of his she better could stay away from. Not because she thought that he would turn his âangerâ to her if she came closer, but because Sehun would simply reject her when he was in this state. Whenever he was like this, he always had something else on his mind and wasnât focused on her. Thus the only thing she could do was wait. Wait until heâd return to her.
Many would think it was the most saddest and pathetic thought someone could have. But for Jinah it wasnât. She knew Sehun cared for her. Otherwise the male wouldnât spend so much time around her, hug her, kiss her. He would always return to her in his own time and way. The demigoddess had to admit that it wasnât always in the way she wanted him to return, but the fact remained that he did. And since she loved him unconditionally every time he returned to her she rejoiced.
As did she now.
A light smile pushing the disappointment from before aside when she saw how he rolled his shoulders, the tension leaving his body she smiled fully at him when he looked at her. Looking back harboring any expectations, Jinah simply waited for Sehunâs next move. Watching how he took off his beautiful mask, she grinned happily at his exposed face for a brief moment. Wanting to make a silly comment about how good he still looked, she swallowed those words right back when she looked into his eyes. Being able to tell that something had changed inside of them, she wasnât capable of putting her finger on what it was however.
Wondering what was going on with him, Sehun then lifted up his hand. Instantly Jinah began to smile softly, lovingly at the soft, cold and rough touch of the skin on his fingers on her face. Closing her eyes for a second or two she leaned in to it a tad bit. Enjoying the simple gesture to the fullest she slowly opened her eyes to look straight up him. Her gaze filled with love and a hint of gratitude -since he was trying to somehow show her he cared for her- the moment between them again lasted too shortly in her opinion.
Wanting to reach out to Sehun, just to keep a connection between the both of them standing as he put on his mask, luckily he soon pulled her into his embrace again. Happily, eagerly and more than willingly settling herself into this new protective embrace of his, Jinah once more let her head rest against his chest. Her arms wrapping themselves around his waist, she closed her eyes again and automatically the corners of her lips pulled themselves up in that blissful smile from before.
Once more getting carried away on the wave of love that hit her, she fully enjoyed the affection Sehun was giving her. The touch of his hand in her hair and the nuzzle of his nose sending sparks and butterflies through her entire body, she wanted to whisper to him that she loved him. Yet she held herself back from speaking those words aloud since she knew it would be the biggest mistake she could ever make. And nothing could be worse than losing what she didnât have right now.
Briefly wishing she could stay with Sehun like this until eternity, since that sounded like a marvelous idea in her head right now, when he pulled away from her, this time around it didnât feel as a loss. But like there was more and better things to come for them. Showing him a slightly dimmed down version of that soft and blissful smile of hers when she looked up at him, Jinah gently and instantly reached out to intertwine Sehunâs fingers with hers when they brushed past hers. The thought hitting her that perhaps this was a step too far for the demigod, she dismissed it soon since this just felt so right.
âLetâs go?â She spoke, soft. Unable to keep that loving tone out of her voice her eyes went from his one to his other for a moment, to gauge his reaction, before she then made the decision for the both of them and began to walk, their fingers still intertwined.

âWell, I hope it smells delicious too,â he replies after a moment, waiting for her to sit down before he picks up the plate he took out for her and waits for her to tell him which dishes she wants to try. Piling a little bit of everything onto the plate, Hades somehow even manages to make it look nice as he presents it to her as if sheâs in an actual restaurant.
âBon apetit, milady,â he tells her seriously, before his grin instantly breaks through again. He proceeds to open a few of the other boxes that contain the exact same dishes but which he plans on devouring in their entirety, and starts piling onto his plate copious amounts of food - probably enough to feed an entire family. Without further ado, he picks up his chopsticks and gets to eating.
âSoâŚ.â He speaks up only after a while, when his initial hunger is finally stilled. âYouâve got any other plans for today, or just making the herbal medicines and stuff?â
âThatâs...â Jinah responded, her brows lowering and coming together lightly, âwhat I just told you, no?â Eyeing the god with mixed confusion and amusement she replied to his grin with a small closed-lip smile. Naturally the nurse didnât mind the minor âmistakeâ Hades might have made. She actually thought of it as very humane and cute, if the god truly had made one that was. If not then that would just prove she hadnât understood him correctly.
Exhaling lightly while she took her seat the demigoddess placed her elbows on the table, laced her fingers together and let her chin rest on them. Looking up at the god, whom was busy with preparing her plate, with sparking eyes and a rather eager grin playing at her lips, she remarked, âI feel fancy.â And she truly did feel as if she was having some expensive breakfast at some fancy restaurant. Especially with the amount of food and the outstanding âfood presentationâ skills of Hades.
âOh wait, I know this.â Closing her eyes briefly she pressed her lips together while thinking. âUhm.â A pensive hum leaving her she tried her best to remember one particular day in high school when she was in her French class. Remembering the words she was looking for, she spoke, âMerci Monsieur.â Her accent not being that horrible she eyed Hades with a small proud look as she picked up her own chopsticks with her usual grace.
Eating in silence the first few moments Jinah wasnât phased by the amount of food Hades already had managed to devour. By now she was quite used to the god eating almost infinite amounts. Thus Jinah kept her gaze focused on her filled plate and slowly made her own way through it. Glancing up only when Hades spoke she continued chewing while nodding in confirmation. âI will.â Picking up her glass she lightly cleared her throat. âI actually am considering about selling some herbal medicines I made. For a trivial, really. Perhaps I should just give some away? Iâm not really sure yet about it.â Her expression showing that she still hadnât made her mind up about it she took a sip from her orange juice. âYou got any big plans?â Returning the question a grin bloomed while she put her glass down.

Heâs still going over the options he has in his mind by the time the door opens to reveal Jinah coming outside. His gaze is on her from the very first second, and he lifts a hand lightly to catch her attention when she glances in his direction. Waiting for her to cross the distance between them, he just stays in place. His muscles are slowly cramping up again, but this time itâs from the cold thatâs starting to seep in through his open jacket. He doesnât pay it any attention, though, focus entirely on the demigoddess walking up to him. And the second she comes to a stop, he closes the rest of the distance between them to put his arms around her.
He pulls her into the safety of his chest, allowing his open jacket to encircle her slightly as if to protect her some more from the cold. Gently lowering his head to hers, he rests his cheek against her hair and closes his eyes for a moment. There is no one watching, he knows because he scanned the surroundings at least twenty times, which means he doesnât have to be afraid of anyone seeing exactly how much his neighbour affects him, while still being able to show her.
Jinah had expected Sehun to come with her as she went to retrieve her coat. She considered it to be only common courtesy to go along with the person -or telling them you would wait for them somewhere- you asked to go with you. So when Sehun didnât do that, which honestly wasnât that surprising, doubt came creeping in. It gnawed at her insides and made her fear he wouldnât wait for her. That he would disappear into the night and only pop up again at her next self-defense class.
Glancing around in search of that more than familiar shape of his clothed in black, while she stood at the desk and waited for her purse and jacket, Jinah bravely swallowed the lump in her throat away when she couldnât find him anywhere near. Accepting her purse and jacket with a polite smile she slowly put her winter jacket on and then opened her purse. Taking out her phone she typed a long message to Suzy, her âdateâ for tonight. Explaining she was going out with Sehun for a bit, she thanked Suzy for the night already spent and added how she thought she would come back. If not, she would send her a message again later.
Putting her phone properly away Jinah quickly checked if everything was still in her small hand purse. Glad to find everything still inside, the demigoddess glanced around her once more. Again not being able to see Sehun, she thought -well hoped- he would be standing outside already. Her eyes shifting to the exit, the pounding of her heart in her chest told her exactly how nervous she was. She would truly be disappointed if he wouldnât be standing outside, but at the same time she would be more than overjoyed to find him there. And honestly, for a moment Jinah actually didnât want to find out which was the case.
Still, the nurse put herself into motion. Slow and careful steps at first which over time became more determined and self-assured. Telling herself that Sehun would be waiting for her outside, since he had asked her to go with him in the first place, the nurse pushed open the doors and took the last steps it took to get outside. Instantly getting greeted by the rather cold night air, she scanned her surroundings. Her attention being caught by a movement someone clothed in black made, the relief -and love- which flooded her upon recognizing Sehun was instant.
A warm, loving, smile blooming while she descended the stairs with rapid yet graceful steps, a warmth which started from her heart spread in her body. It having reached her fingertips and toes by the moment she reached the tall demigod, Jinah didnât even feel the cold air brushing passed the exposed skin on her legs when she moved. All she was focused on was how he had waited for her and how nice that felt. But what was even nicer was how Sehun didnât miss a single heartbeat into closing the distance between them.
Gladly wrapping her arms around him in return, she allowed her cheek to rest against his chest. Closing her eyes, so she could fully focus on the simplicity of this intimate moment, a blissful smile appeared. Ever since their kiss she had wished to be locked inside of his arms again. So now that it was finally happening, Jinah gently held Sehun in return and didnât move or say anything. Â After all she didnât want to ruin this precious moment between them.

Daehyun blinked, a little thrown off by the somewhat strange compliment. It was nice, though. She was nice. She kind of reminded him of Soohyunâ which was high praise, in his books. âOh, um, thanks,â he murmured modestly, rubbing the back of his neck.
It was a relief that she did not say anything or ask about how little he had, and that she did not look at him like some poor little stray puppy. She was looking at his bag in an interesting way, though. He was getting the feeling that she was a very pensive person, more a thinker than a speakerâ which was fine with him, because he was like that too.
âOh, cool. Câmon in, then.â He gestured her into the apartment, hoping she would not notice how sparse it was if he ushered her into the kitchen fast enough. âI mean, I put the leaves and water in a pot, if that counts. Nothing fancy,â he replied, shrugging.Â
âSo, um, you live in the building? Whatâs it called again?â He had sort of zoned out when the person whoâd brought him to his apartment had been telling him about the building and the cityâs layout and⌠well, all the important stuff that he probably should have paid attention to. He had just been too busy marvelling over how nice the building wasâ how nice the whole island was.
âIt counts,â Jinah instantly responded, wearing a supportive smile. To her everyone who used something else than the things you can find at the supermarket brews their own tea. So Daehyun using leaves definitely counted as him brewing tea himself.
Entering his apartment the demigoddess did a quick look around as she got led to his kitchen. Exhaling a nostalgic sigh at the bleak sight of it all, she smiled. âIt looks so familiar to how mine used to be.â Remembering very well how many months ago her apartment had looked as âemptyâ as his now did -since it was no oneâs home- her smile got a hint of fondness to it. âIâm sure you can make this into your new home in no time. I managed to do so rather quickly.â
Her gaze landing on Daehyun, as she entered the kitchen, Jinah nodded to his question. âYes, I do.â Going out of the way so Daehyun could reach his cupboards and such, she gently clasped her hands together in front of her thighs. âItâs called the Banshee apartments and is used by the Celtic demigods and gods only.â Providing him some more information, just in case he needed a repetition of that she decided to share a little something about her next, âIâm a daughter of Airmid by the way. Iâm not sure if youâre familiar with her?â Eyeing the demigod with her usual friendly expression she was curious to find out who he was a son of.

âIt started a little over a week ago,â he answers her first question with a sigh walking forward to stand beside Jinah. âAnd umm-â He pauses. âThis isnât as bad as it looks.â He adds on lamely, but he looks at the varying flowers. Aside from the begonias that he had just received, there was also numerous arrangements of orange lilies as well as rhododendronâthe connotations behind those flowers being equally as bleak as the ones behind the begonias. âAlright, this is maybe worse than it looks.â He doesnât know what else to say.
âIâll explain more in a bit- just umm-â he says after a while. âJust make yourself comfortable.â He sighs gesturing to the couch before making his way to the kitchen. âIâll get us something to drink.â And he doesnât mention it aloud, but he also plans to get another container for the flowers. Even if they were a passive aggressive form of threat, they were still flowers. Itâs not like he wasnât going to take care of them. âWould you like some tea?â He calls from the kitchen.
The bouquet combined with her friendâs words put a heavy weight on Jinahâs shoulders and chest. Eyeing him with worry in its purest form, she grimaced at his invitation to go inside. Even though Kyungsoo was the son of Ares, there were still plenty of other gods and demigods who could harm him and she, well, she wasnât exactly a fighter. Jinah did know how to defend herself, thanks to her many self-defense classes and the great teacher she had, but that didnât mean she was able to win a fight.
Still the demigoddess put herself in motion and entered Kyungsooâs apartment, which apparently was riddled with more bouquets. It wasnât strange to find flowers at her friendâs place, given he adored them, but the types she found, all had connotations which were -softly spoken- quite alarming. Fear taking a hold of her heart Jinah slowly glanced around his living room. Not even beginning to count the number of bouquets he possessed, she swallowed the forming lump in her throat away before it could settle itself fully.
Turning her fear-filled gaze to her friend, when he came to stand next to her, a soft huff left her lips at his lame excuse. Not really sure why he tried to cover up the gravity of this situation, she was glad Kyungsoo soon admitted otherwise though. In the thick and tensed silence that follows his words, Jinah licked her lips and broke through it with a whisper. âIt looks bad. Very bad.â Her mind starting to race, since she wanted to help Kyungsoo to get out of this, she asked him once more in a normal tone of voice now, âWhatâs going on? Whoâs doing this to you?â
Reluctantly accepting her friendâs words and decision to first brew tea for them, Jinah sighed, âOkay.â Her gaze flickering over to his couch momentarily they settled on his back as he went to his kitchen with the bouquet still in hand. A frown crossing her expression at the sight Jinah decided to just do what Kyungsoo had asked of her to do. âTea sounds lovely Kyungsoo. You know Iâd never refuse.â Answering her friend with a smile audible in her voice Jinah headed toward his couch and took her seat there.
Her eyes automatically going to the bouquet on the coffee table, Jinah stared intently -as if it would disappear and take its threat with it if only she would stare long enough- while Kyungsoo was busy with preparing their tea. Her hands resting on her knees, her fingers were curled up, the tension in them becoming visible with the way they sometimes trembled.

Haphazardly duct taped to the dead center of his door is a full bouquet of begonias. The soft colors contrasting brightly against the plain white of his door. If anyone else had walked by, theyâd admire the flowers for their beautyâand question the use of duct tape to leave them on the door, but mostly admire them. Not that Kyungsoo couldnât appreciate the prettiness of the flowerâs petals and colorâhe appreciated any sort of plant life.
Itâs just that unlike most passersby, Kyungsoo was aware of the meaning of certain flowers. Though it wasnât until recently that heâd learned the meaning of begonias, it was safe to say that he wasnât particularly happy to see them stuck to his front door.. again.
He exhales a sigh and shakes his head before stepping up to the front door to rip the duct tape off and take the flowers down. He looks back to Jinah once again and offers a slightly strained smile. âIâve had a lot going on lately.â He explains softly.
Jinah was happy Kyungsoo and her finally had found the time to meet up. She was almost too ashamed to say that it had been months since sheâd last met Kyungsoo in person. Of course they had kept in touch through online messages and such, she even had gotten a wonderful Christmas present from him which proudly hang in her living room, but it was not the same. She hadnât told Kyungsoo anything yet about her troubles with Hana and Sehun. The demigoddess found that it was quite difficult to fully explain the situation over messages. Also, she didnât want to be a burden to the Greek demigod who was clearly busy and apparently had a lot going on himself.
At least thatâs what Jinah understood from the begonias taped to his door.Â
For other people, who didnât know that much about plants and flowers, the begonias would look like roses. Maybe theyâd even think that it was a strange type of rose if theyâd look closer to it. But most of them would think the flowers were meant as a nice gesture or a symbol to express their affection. But nothing less was true.
Watching how her friend tore the flowers from his door Jinah nodded, her expression being serious with a hint of shock in her eyes. âI see.â Mimicking his soft tone of voice, her eyes landed on the beautiful bouquet in his hands. Finding it alarming that whoever had done this had used a full bouquet, she had to ask; âHow long is this going on?â Realizing that the hallway wasnât the best place to discuss such a serious matter as this, she mentioned to his door. âYou want to talk about it inside?â Wondering then if it even would be safe for them to talk about it, because perhaps the flowers were coming from a god she added another question, âItâs safe?â
