It had been a few days since the spell had been broken. Gavin had taken his family home and was now on his way back with Ryan, leading him to his kingdom, to keep him safe.
It had been a silent carriage ride, both not sure what to say to the other. It was awkward, to say the least, when you realize you had almost no control of yourself and actions. The way you treated the man you loved.
But finally, Ryan found his words.
“Thank you... for loving me through that. I... I don’t know where I’d be without you. Well, I have some thoughts.”
Gavin smiled softly, reaching to place a hand on his thigh as he leaned forward.
“It was my pleasure to love you through all of that. It was... hard, but worth it. I knew you were still there for me.”
Ryan took Gavin’s hand in his, bringing it to his lips and kissing it. “I wouldn’t be here without you, Gavin. Without your belief in me. And truly, I do not deserve you. You are far too good to me.”
A blush was on Gavin’s face, smiling and looking down. He was being far too sweet, even if it made Gavin feel as though everything was worth it. Every moment was worth it to see Ryan smile again, his soft eyes full of love.
“I love you, Ryan. I would do anything for you if you asked. I did everything for you. Not because you demanded it of me, but because I loved you. I did everything out of love.”
“And I love you, Gavin. More than you can imagine. You kept me... more sane. I think.. without you, I would’ve been worse. You.. you mean more to me than you know. And, if... your family still thinks of me, I’d still like your hand in marriage. And to properly unite our kingdoms.”

Ahh sorry for the late response! I’m glad you had fun :) I always hesitate when sending someone prompts because it’s like, what if the writer doesn’t like the ship? What if they’re busy?
